Mana regeneration in pvp for healers

I thought all healers in the game have 900 mana regen in arenas and bgs (in pvp). Today i went to a bg for my new restor shamy and opened the character window and saw - mana regen 1000. Omg why? Shamy has mana shield, mana regen after some crits and that is not enough? His mana regen 10% faster than rdru’s mana. Now it is pretty interesting to me - how much mana regen do paladins and priests have? Because to me it looks unfair when healers by default have different mana regens, despite out of pvp shamy and dru both have 2000.

Mana regen is nerfed by 50% for every healer in pvp and goes from 2k/5sec to 1k/5sec.

Close, but incorrect.

Healer mana regeneration is 2k out of PvP. Somewhere in BfA, I think in Season 2, there was a huge PvP change suring which they nerfed all healer mana regeneration so that games would not last as long.

Most of the nerfs were a flat 50% to mana regeneration. However there were exceptions to this. Rdruids were nerfed by 55% as they were the class that could drink the most, and was the most powerful at the moment, which brings the mana regeneration to 900 instead of 1k. Discs were also nerfed by 45%, and not 50%, as they had the most mana issues. Unless they stealthily reversed this change, Discs have a 1.1k regeneration. I think a third healer spec got 45% or 55% instead of 50%, but I do not remember which. And I might even be wrong, and Disc and Rdruid are the only two.

And that’s your explanation !
