Man'ari Meeting Locations

I’d be down to RP in Lower City shattrath with people.

So far, all of these suggestions have been awesome. Would being semi-nomadic be viable? Going between Lower City and Duskwood or somewhere else on Azeroth could be fun, as it would allow for a change of scenery, though it would make RP difficult with moving around.

Still, anything would be more fun than getting screamed at in Stormwind.

It won’t be easy to hunt them down, it’s not like they are just going to give us their loca-

I think Outland is the best bet.

It’s a forgotten expansion, we barely know anything about changes since Illidan’s defeat. You can make up your own communal lore (within reason) for the continent.

Also I believe the residents of Outland are probably more acceptable to Demonic Corrupted creatures as is… most creatures who dwell in Outland are actually corrupted by demonic energies.

You might create a new interesting Neutral RP Hub for more mystical and oddworld type RP that would contrast Stormwind RP in a more interesting way. I be totally for that.

Whatever you do, wish y’all luck.

I’d also put forward Deadwind Pass as a suggestion. It’s a suitably creepy and unsettling backdrop for secretive meetings and there’s certainly all manner of strange things driven to the region in the canon story.

I also have some other ideas outside Outland if you prefer keeping things on Azeroth.

Outlaw RP: As an outcast you are probably not welcomed in Stormwind, but sometimes you’ll have a reason to gather there, such as Warlock meetings, or trading in unholy objects in secret locations. You’ll probably travel by night, and avoid the busiest places such as the park and Cathedral. You’ll probably don’t stick around for too long, but with a good mask you can hang in dark alleys for a bit.

Neutral RP: You’re probably more welcomed at places such as Booty Bay, Ratchet, or Gadgetzan. Goblins often put their principles aside as long you don’t cause ruckus and bring money with you. Dalaran is also a great spot. The Kirin Tor are perhaps easier to convince than the Light fearing humans of Stormwind.

Bloodmyst Isle: A nice location, Draenei themed, and corrupted.

Blasted Lands / Swamp of Sorrows / Deadwind Pass: Close to the portal to Outland, nearby the populated Darkshire RPers, also very demonic and spooky.

Burning Steppes / Badlands: More of a rugged place, still demons would feel at home here.

Wyrmscar isle might be of interest, in this case.

The Illidari want to know your location.

Honestly I could think of no better place than Lower City Shattrath for a place where Eredar can RP in a citylike, easy to get to setting without being overly out of place. It’s a boiling pot of different races and even demons from an expansion that hinged around unlikely allies and misunderstandings. I think it could make for some interesting RP.

Given the fact that Warlocks could make a portal to Dreadscar and invade it, I think few Man’ari would be able to do it aswell and set up some hidden permanent link to Argus. But ye, Outland is fine I think. Also the Legion ship over Broken Shore have some place above and you can just pretend it’s somewhere else like with using AU Draenor to represent other places.

I disagree here, while what you say about Lower city is true, the city a as a whole is guarded by a bunch of Draenei Anchorites and Vindicators and in the middle of it is a Naaru. Few demons could sneak in, but larger pressence whould have been surely detected and dealt with.

Maybe somewhere at the edge, but smart demon would avoid Draenei lands at all if they want to live.

Nah, any demon in Exodar would be killed on sight just like in SW. Draenei started to slaughter a bunch of humans for calling them demons. They consider Man’ari as the greatest shame upon their people. If they would knew there is a demon in Exodar in that “out of way” section, they would invade that place and probably kill everything which moves there.

I doubt that very much. They hate Fel magic and demons have plagued their city for as long as it has existed.

Either this is wrong, or the Broken working there have collectively decided not to tell anyone about the eredar warlock currently offering his services. The latter seems less likely to me.

The Broken are treated like dirt so I wouldnt be surprised with their silence, he is one of them afterall. Exodar is also still timelocked in TBC, technically this section shouldnt even exist now. If they will update the zone, we can only hope they will make a new dirty part of the city aswel for these NPCs.

It’s wise to remember that the characters we see in RP represent a small section of an absolutely massive populace. You may notice there’s no guards actually patrolling the lower city, just guards on the entrances to the city itself who are probably watching throngs of refugees and people pass by. There’s everything from Ogres to Lost Ones to Mo’arg in the Lower City, so I doubt an Eredar being careful to avoid detection would have trouble getting into the lower city and disappearing into the streets. Just because it’s got a Naaru in the middle of it doesn’t mean that it’s a perfect city down in Shattrath, it has a major refugee crisis on its hands that’s probably only worsened as more and more of Outland collapses.

You are not wrong and I do not oppose here, i just think that a larger demonic presence within Lower City would be detected.

There’s still The Swamp of Sorrows. It’s not too far from SW, it’s remote enough and it provides the Harborage (the Krokul settlement) And Bogpaddle, the goblin harbor town. I think generally anywhere with more or less neutral to semi-hostile grounds for alliance and or horde work.

In any case, since there are people who actively rp and dont check the forums or aren’t part of any major Discord Server, i’ll risk my character to sweep up any strays in the city and send them somewhere safe. Do feel free to DM ingame or here and give me suggestions!

Something to take into account though is that these warlocks that opened the Dreadscar Rift are the leaders of the Council of the Black Harvest, which are the strongest (ostensibly) good-aligned warlocks on Azeroth that we know to date, who pretty much pioneered advances in warlock magic since Mists of Pandaria; and even then, all of them ended up botching the ritual, getting captured, and having to be saved by the Champion of Azeroth after he powered up with the artifact weapon.

I, personally, think it would take away a lot from the immersion of the whole thing if you could do something that the heroes and Sargeras himself struggled to do without one or two magical mcguffins (for example, the Scepter of Sargeras, and the Sargerite Keystone) and make a direct portal to Argus between just a few eredar.

You have a good point. Altough demons might be able to slip into the Nether on their own tbh since it’s their domain their souls are bound to.

The Nether, yes; but when it comes to Argus to Azeroth and viceversa, it is a significant effort, to the point that for full-scale attacks, the Legion had to rely on either the Sargerite Keystone (that opened that rift in the sky during 7.3), and the Scepter of Sargeras (which being mishandled cracked Draenor like an egg and turned it into Outland and sent it into the Twisting Nether).

Could a portal be made between those places after a significant effort? Maybe, especially if it’s just for a few eredar; but I’d say that making it an actual effort rather than something they can just do would be far more interesting and accurate to what we’ve seen in the lore about this.

I agree, altough we have seen Legion portals to random worlds they were just invading and we stopped it (the invasion points) But it was Legion in full power with all it’s resources and experts in such things. Since it is gone now I guess this would be hard too.
