Man'ari Meeting Locations

So! Given we can’t really safely linger around populated cities IC, I wanted to propose a few potential spots Eredar could gather.

One spot I’ll likely be lurking at will likely be the Altar of Storms in the WOD phase of Blasted Lands. It’s conveniently abandoned! Anywhere in Outland that isn’t a settlement could work as well. Anyone else got any other ideas?

Dalaran’s Underbelly might work. There is a man’ari there who I believe is part of the Rogue or Warlock order hall mission, and generally the Underbelly is shown as the place that people are willing to look the other way at.

Similarly I imagine Duskwood would be semi-welcoming as it’s often RPed similarly to the Underbelly (away from the eyes of the Alliance as a whole and generally shady things)

Booty Bay might be more accepting them. While the Horde and Alliance both have a hatred of the Legion, neither are particularly present down there.

That being said, all three locations I just mentioned probably aren’t for the repentant man’ari we see in the customization quests, I think these would definitely be on the “I might relapse into heinous crimes” camp.

And Ratchet, given the whole openly warlock coven since Vanilla, but still, iffy.

The Dalaran Underbelly is the play I think, unfortunately the Legion one is still that annoying PvP event - so you’ll have to use the WotLK version.

This is like the FBI posting about prime locations for conducting drug deals.

I’ve seen so many Darkfallen in Darkshire that a Man’ari or two might be a nice change of pace.

But in all seriousness; it’s thematically a great zone for the spooky outcast or villain crowd. Though preferably not Darkshire itself, considering its principal shtick is fighting Undead, feral Worgen and Demons?

I am going to set my guy up far from people, in a nice cave or shack.
He exists to create pacts and bargains. It’ll benefit the person to a point, but it’ll always benefit him.

Couldn’t Shattrath lower city (To some degree) work. Correct me if I remember it wrong, but isn’t there a demon dude down there? Not even all that secluded.

yea, there’s a Mo’arg in the inn in the lower city. Dont exactly recall the reasoning, but he’s there.

I can imagine Broken Shore being a good gathering ground. A lot of residual fel around can provide cover, Legion salvage still littering the place can finally get used, and it’s not like people aside from warlocks or Illidari go there willingly on daily basis.

Another location that might be of interest is the Altar of Storms in the Burning Steppes, just west of the Blackrock Mountain entrance. There’s a few mobs there, but should be manageable?

I like this idea a lot.

For that matter there are the out-of-way parts of the Exodar as well, seeing as how at least one man’ari eredar has made the place his home.

Given that such a meeting would be pretty above board and not a measure to scheme and plot against mortals, one could even make the argument that such a meeting - in the near vicinity of Vindicators ready to step in at the whiff of demonic summonings - would be a show of peaceful intent from the side of the man’ari.

Otherwise there absolutely are the classics; Blasted Lands, Felwood, or even places in Outland if true privacy is desired. One could also use places from WoD and simply pretend they aren’t set in the AU Draenor. Gorgrond could be Stonetalon Mountains etc.

My guild uses WoD Shadowmoon as a stand-in for Azuremyst and I know another guild uses Gorgrond as a stand-in for the Barrens, so there are plenty of opportunities for that.

I long every day for Shattrath RP… Make it happen. Lower City is just Duskwood RP but canon. :eyes:
