Mark of Mastery in 10.2 can no longer buy elite pvp items

https://www.reddit.com/r/worldofpvp/comments/16u46j6/16k_rating_token_no_longer_grants_elite/

The vendor you go to spend your mark of mastery no longer sells elite pvp appearances.

Means you can no longer get to 1600 rating pvp rating with 2 characters of the same class to finish the elite set, or do KSM or full heroic raid clear to buy elite items.

Love it when they make these meaningful changes to PvP to boost participation !

It was probably an oversight, and got quietly fixed.

But yeah, as Slinks said, I love the things they put effort into

People claim that low rated players are critically important for PvP participation health. This spits on them , and I’ve got quite a few of the current elite sets from hitting 1800.

Less rewards is a great idea in a dwindling game mode

To think they get paid for this stuff is insanity

Absolutely, for a healthy economy there must be a healthy middle class. In WoW PVP, the middle class are exactly these players who dwindle between 1.6K and 1.8K. Taking away from them doesn’t do the game much good in the long term.

For any giant brains reading that think ,
" well they only patched it as it was an oversight " or whatever rationale you want to apply…

Consider this

If a player is new, or perhaps learning or not the best, but they love the elite set and really want it , they would level a new character of the same class for it, or buy a boost

But yeah whatever dog incompetent paid devs

this wasnt a dig at you either mewithout

They’re putting effort into things they have devs for and know how to fix.

Good job !
Another amazing incentive for casual players to pvp.

Maybe in compensation ratings might be higher
