I did actually mind it , that love story was writen terribly and if the gay story is writen badly aswell i would mind it , if its just there to virtue signal and/or just be token points i would also mind it, but if its well writhen i wouldnt care if they are gay and i would enjoy the story.

Yes but it shouldnt be because of the lgbt community, if a character happens to be gay its ok but dont focus the story on your characters beeing gay, you are setting yourselves for failure.
