Not the only issue people have a problem with, the other issue is creating a character beeing gay just for the sake of it beeing gay or other wise said a token character.

you want people to be accepted for what they believe but you are unwilling to accept what others believe?

Yes people want to see more diversity, however Iâd rather characters in tv/movies written in an âany size fitsâ kind of way which enables a diverse auditioning process for the role rather than âthis character must me white/blackâ and âthis character must be lgbtâ.
What Iâd also like to see is people not using people being white and/or straight as the defining points as to why there is an issue to begin with. Using a personâs skin colour or sexuality as a point of attack makes you look no better than those who have done that to restrict the visibility of other people in the past.

I already adressed that in my first post, Iâm a gay man myself, I donât like it, itâs cringeworthy and shoehorned 9/10 and certainly not the type of representation I want.

i agree with you, also many tv-shows have a token gay/black/muslim/w/e token person who is pretty much the same character.
i wasnât using white and straight as an insult at all, donât get me wrong.
but thereâs been so much media about it, i think we got that covered by now. so many stories have been told through their narative and pov, i donât think itâs wrong to ask to see different peopleâs pov on stories.

Where do you draw the line too? How could people really be offended because they donât see thereself represented in a video game? Itâs like the whole soldier in overwatch no lore indicated he was gay then suddenly he was gay?! Makes no difference to me personally i just find it silly.

A tolerant society has no onus to accept people who are intolerant to be credible, in fact itâs widely accepted that accepting it is inherently self destructive to the society - see paradox of tolerance.
So if someoneâs views they want other be to be tolerant of are stuff like âthese people deserve less because of accident of birthâ or other discriminatory views, then no that society has no good reason to be tolerant of their views, because those views only erode that society they do not enrich it.
When I saw this post in wowhead the other day I knew it would blow up like this and bring out the predictable âIâm not homophobic butâ âI have gay friends butâ âomg the agendaâ Reddit tinfoil hat rubbish.

Nick Fury of Avengers fame was always a white dude in the comics, then along came Samuel L Jackson, who knocked the character out of the park. Should they have got an actor who did the character less justice, just because of skin colour, when Nick Furyâs skin colour isnât his defining factor?
Hell no. Heâs different to Black Panther, casting a white dude as Black Panther would not work, because that -was- a defining feature of the character. Nick Furyâs skin colour is -not- a defining feature of the character. Would Othello work, if Othello was a white dude? No, because the whole fact is that the story is driven by the fact that he is a Moor. Remove that, and you remove the whole impetus of the setting. The Merchant of Venice works because Shylock is of the Judaic faith, which is directly referenced in the famous speech. Would it work if Shylock was Christian? No. Because thats the story being told. It is about the persecution that Jewish people did suffer.
Sometimes a person is so iconic that you have to cast them a certain way, sometimes the character is more important than skin colour, sexual orientation or gender. This isnât casting Morgan Freeman as Winston Churchill, or Tom Hardy as Malcolm X. This is two unseen characters who are being written and cast that way. I just fail to see the problem.

Fact is, no one is changing the setting, or changing established characters, these are the first time these characters are seen, so how on earth can people complain about an agenda, when that -is- just the way the characters have always been. That is how they are written, by the writers of the characters.
No one is rewriting anything here to fit an agenda.

Donât know who they were, but if itâs fake I am impressed with the number of people they got to work with them.
Men, women, old people, young people. They got a lot of people to work with them in the video if it was fake.
Everything from yelling slurs, to spitting, to pushing/shoving and threatening violence.
Excuse me if Iâm a bit skeptic to you calling it a fake video when the video paints your own people in a bad light.
