This is why people dislike lgbt people, most of them are literally snowflakes. Like my healer was talking about his friend as my “bf” I asked him if he is gay, he said yea and it wasn’t a problem.
Before we start a mythic+ I ask group like “Ladies, gentlemans and gays. Are you ready to go?” but people like you are unendurable.

You know how many ethnic groups and other minorities throughout the world are prey to the same suffering ? Spotlights are always set on gay people. Besides, I fail to see how exhibiting your sexuality, sometimes in the most extravagent ways or as flat-out fair-ground attractions (which can come across as quite insulting for many gay people, and when nobody really gives a damn about that) can by of any help or in any accordance with the values you want to encourage.
It may shock you, but there are many gay people who critizise that, and the reasons they bring up make a lot of sense imo. And don’t get them started on drag queen hours.

For both of those? I really don’t care about lazy corporate attempts but for their role in the superstructure shaping the base and the base shaping the superstructure. Minor pandering gestures make no direct difference but a many small ones shift the culture of acceptance.
Either way, the existing structure will always favour the majority for economic gain.

Yes. Both.
Having worked with a homosexual guy and a homosexual couple, having also lived with a Homosexual in the same house, working with a lesbian supervisor I can safely say I have nothing against homosexuality.
Anime has done it very well over the years.
You barely notice Homosexuality or straight couples because both come as natural.
It’s normal for a male student to feel attracted by another male student, because he looks like a girl.
It’s normal for a female student with male behavior, to have a relationship with another female student.
There’s even manga comics portraying lesbian and homosexual relationships.
I am perfectly fine with it.
I have a problem when games get changed just for the sake of a political agenda, as they been doing it in US a lot lately.
Some examples:
- Ghostbusters with four female characters as oppose to four male characters.
- Harley Quinn title changed to: Birds of Prey. None knew what that title was.
- Diversity shoehorned in different franchises instead of naturally inserted in new narratives.
- All the offended SJW crowd in Twitter that apparently feels everything in the world offends them, without noticing that the world was already like that before they came to existence.

You clearly have never seen a gay pride in real life, probably only what media shows you. 99.9% of people participating to gay prides are completely normal. The 0.1% left are the extravagant ones (also the almost naked ones) that usually are at the bottom of the pride. The minority of a minority.

And on topic - What I find weird is that it happened thousands of years ago in ancient nelf times.
And I had impression that with xenophobia nelves had other very untolerant traits until their males went into druidic slumber . Which would justify the change in society (and I’m talking about marriage part, because marriage is whole another step than a lover).
But I’m probably overthinking it. Yet, just like OP I feel like it’s just pulled out of nowhere for the sake of pandering.
