In my country traditionally we don’t have Santa but “Christkind” or “Gesù Bambino” in my region. 
We do have a similar figure to Santa called St. Nicholas (Samichlaus / San Nicolao) on 6 December though, he brings presents on his donkey.

His Sidekick Schmutzli on the right (Krampus in other countries I guess?) Is supposed to whip you and take you away in his bag if you were naughty, which is kinda disturbing if you think about it.
