Hello

Received a warning for ingame communication following a Wintergrasp battle. Currently have a ticket in for this, however as this will be 100% guaranteed false reporting is there any punishment for the people false reporting me?

Basically people in chat calling everyone slurs and after calling them out someone said to mass report me. Once the game finished i have a warning pop up for a behaviour warning. Clearly you can get 1+1=2 from this. As such once a actual human looks at the logs and see the chat logs, people who reported me will they face any punishment?

Moving forward in this social game i have decided to remove all BG chat from my window to ensure i dont get caught up in the auto ban movement. But from blizzard is there any official stance of punishment for false reports?

Hello Tirant,

There is no need to make a ticket for this unless you need to appeal an actual penalty that was applied incorrectly to your account.

If that happens and we’re able to verify it was a result of collusion among the reporters, that is indeed something we’ll take action against as well.

So, there is no penalty for trying to have somebody banned for no reason? There is only a penalty, if it actually works?
