Since the server reboot, there’s high latency spike if you use this ISP.
This issue impacted 100% of ours raiders that use “Bouygues Telecom”.
It seem it’s not related only to WoW, but on all Blizzard games.
The game is still playable, but any activity that involve high reaction time like raiding, dungeons, arena, battlegrounds, are unplayable due to random client lag spike related to networks issues. Theses lag spike happen randomly for 5 to 10 seconds.
Many players tried to reboot their internet box, switch wifi to ethernet, everything has been tested, and nothing solve the issue. It affect only Blizzard games since the server restart that happened Wednesday.
You are complaining to Blizzard about an issue that you say is related to your ISP “Bouygues Telecom”, instead of complaining to your ISP.
Did Blizzard buy Bouygues Telecom while our backs were turned?
Blizzard, stop buying up ISP’s and spend the money on developing the game better instead!
What probably happened is the digital signature of Blizzards traffic probably changed, and your ISP is probably doing DPI and packet deprioritization for traffic that doesn’t match its whitelist.
But thats strictly an ISP issue. Technically they shouldn’t be whitelisting traffic at all, it breaks net neutrality.
I don’t know if it’s ISP related or Blizzard related, I don’t really have any experience about root cause analysis ^^.
What I know is the game is not working for lot of customers in France. It happened since server restart, so I guess something goes wrong. Hope it will get fixed asap ^^.
Im having severe lag spikes aswell now and then, also started to accure this reset. Have tried to play without addons and it still happens.
I dont have much clue about this stuff but it dosent happens when im watching streams on computer or tv. Tested my connection on different sites and that i get a nice result.
I know your very busy banning bots but i hope you have time to adress this issue aswell.
We’d be happy to dig further into this for you, but to do so we’d need some data about your connection. Please feel free to post the information described in this link as a reply here; alternatively, a ticket on our website will get the information across to us just as easily.
For the record though: if there were server-side issues, they’d generally not just affect a single player, or one ISP - everyone on the same realm, possibly even the entirety of the european servers, would see some impact. That is currently demonstrably not the case.
