It’s been months since the release and it still doesn’t work. When will this be fixed?
They never cease to amaze me. Terrible performance as expected.
No, it can’t be felt…sorry.
If anything it is worse. (on Silvermoon)
9 to 10 seconds of waiting for EVERY action you take… this is unacceptable!!
…and come the weekend, nothing will be fixed, so there goes the first week of the patch…
Great job blizz, as usual you don’t disapoint when it comes to server stability on patch & expansion day. (sarcasm)
“The sudden influx of players” should have been accounted for BEFORE the release of the patch and fixed accordingly. …and this again shows you’re unwillingness to learn from your mistakes and stubbornly doing the same thing over and over and over again…
…but at this point who cares right? …as long as players feed you their money, server stability can go to hell…right?
And let’s face it…it wont matter in about 1 month when the majority of players have finished the content and won’t be loging on every day or every week …and that is how you “fix” your servers…right?

As of today, Saturday evening, the lag issue exists everywhere. Doesn’t matter if you are playing max lever character, or level 40 alt in Dragonflight dungeons, lag is everywhere…
Silvermoon today is in a very bad state.
I just started to play wow few days ago, when will this lag go away? Should I just move to another less populated server? I tried Ravencrest and there was 0 lag.
Yep. Borderline unplayable. Wanna get quest? Wait a few dozen seconds. Wanna turn in quest? wait a few dozen seconds. Wanna loot more than 3 items? Might as well make some tea. It’s beyond me at this point that they can’t update the hardwarde to support at least playable conditions for patch days. I guess if we buy few more hundred thousand 90 E mounts they might take pity and update the damn servers.
The lag is for me also in old zones.
Silvermoon EU just went ofline
Got booted from server and now stuck at “Retrieving Character List”. Great
So, all characters I play are on Draenor, and lag there is unplayable.
I remembered that I had one test character on Xavius. I made chis char on a lower pop server just for purpose of testing lag, at the beginning of TWW. That Xavius character has zero lag.
For a test I transferred my main character (it was experiencing the worst lag out of all my character) from Draenor to Xavius, and on Xavius I pretty much have no lag.
This is crazy.
To Blizzard Entertainment,
I am writing to express my growing frustration with the consistently poor server performance that plagues World of Warcraft with each major content release or patch. This same issue happens patch after patch, and expansion after expansion, and it has become an unfortunate, yet predictable, pattern that the excitement surrounding new content is immediately overshadowed by unplayable lag, disconnects, and overall instability. I, and many others, have had our playing experience ruined by these issues.
Every time a new patch or expansion launches, the experience is marred by significant server-side issues. We, the players, anticipate the new content for months, only to be met with a frustrating, and often completely unplayable, experience. The initial hours, and sometimes days, of new content are a chaotic mess of lag spikes, rubberbanding, and frequent disconnections. This not only ruins the initial thrill of new content but also wastes valuable time for players who have eagerly anticipated the release.
This isn’t a minor inconvenience; it’s a persistent problem that severely impacts the gameplay experience. Raids become impossible, dungeons are a lag-filled nightmare, and even simple questing becomes a frustrating exercise in patience. To add insult to injury, even basic actions like looting enemies become a tedious chore, with extended delays before loot is accessible. The feeling of anticipation quickly turns to resentment as we struggle against the server rather than enjoying the game.
It’s understandable that a surge in player activity can strain server resources, but the frequency and severity of these issues are unacceptable. We, the players, invest time and money into World of Warcraft, and we expect a stable and reliable gaming experience in return. The consistent failure to provide this during major releases is extremely disappointing. The patience of the player base is wearing thin.
I urge you to invest in improving your server infrastructure and implementing more robust load balancing strategies. We need to see a commitment to resolving these issues, not just temporary fixes. The constant server instability is damaging the reputation of World of Warcraft and eroding the trust of its player base. We deserve a smoother, more reliable experience when new content is released. Please, prioritize server stability and address these recurring problems before they further alienate your loyal players.
