Well that sounds good, but “matchmaking update” could mean a lot of things.
Let’s hope it actually improves the premade issue. Sadly i don’t have too much faith into Blizz, considering their track record at anything related to PvP
MM could mean anything but implementing MMR is a straightforward solution to virtually all problems. It doesn’t matter why people win (skill or coordination), it elevates them and then the non-elite can play among themselves, fairly. We have a big pool of players so shouldn’t be an issue.
One thing I recall from earlier, is the lesser faction gearing up faster and automatically winning more, for a while. Not sure what to do about that.
Let us hope they just make us wait until the team has 2 healers, simplest solution. i’d wait 10 mins !
That’d be a bandaid fix and doesn’t touch core issues of the premade vs pugs situation. Basically because there are 3-4 problems at the same time:
-Team Composition, Gear Deviation, Skill Difference and sometimes players who aren’t even max level.
Implement a hidden ELO, set a timer how often matches get created and suddenly most of the problems disappear. It’s not like this hasn’t been solved in other PvP titles.
Have fun with your team having ret palas or enhancement shamans signing as healer just for a fast queue.

i did 10 solo games yesterday, gotta love all those sub 200s in L19 greens too. This and more is demanded by the solo snowflakes, how else can they pwn ppl in their lil’ pvp encounters in AB if not for massively overmatched gear

Matchmaking could just mean it puts people with a similar iLevel together, until it mentions groups I wouldn’t believe it.
