I’m not super hardcore on BG’s or anything but I recently gained a pretty rare Arathi Basin achievement on another character: Arathi Basin Perfection - win Arathi Basin with a score of 1600 to 0
This was gained from Brawl: Comp Stomp which is kind of new to me (long time player but never played this mode). For any that never played this mode, it’s a BG mode where you play v.s. NPC’s instead of players and is super easy.
Now I don’t know if I’m the only one in this but now I have carved this achievement in my achievement list for forever and it literally means nothing to me since it’s super easy to get in that mode. It completely devaluates the achievement and just looks silly. I know you can say that the same goes for other stuff, but the difference is, BG’s are always current content as opposed to for example doing a mythic raid run from expansions ago in current gear.
I don’t know, it just leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I want to look at my PvP achievements like it means something. Don’t do the mode? Yeah the honor gains are kind of nice and fast.
I never do premades, mostly random BG’s but nonetheless, overall that achievement is still pretty rare. Also, I’m not talking only about that one alone in particular.
It’s possibly not rare anymore due to Comp Stomp. That achievement won’t happen in a million years to most players in random BG’s. Premades maybe, rated maybe.
