So we’ve cleared hardest heat level inside 40 minutes…
Plenty of difficult content in retail.
classic wow has, and always will be, face roll content. the hardest part is staying awake when farming world buffs and consumables
lol what?
40 minutes on hardest level?
did you all have 226+ FR or was it only needed for tanks or smth?
If you have less than 220+ fire resist on hardest difficulty system will oneshot you on a boss fight. Bosses dont do anything new, they have more hp and maybe more dmg. Thats it.
For example Ragnaros - 6.3 million hp.
And new boss seems even easier than lucifron.
a straight up one-shot if you are even a few FR points short?
that seems like pretty bad design if true.
so like, if i’m on say 190, its a 1 hit KO?
Yes 300k conflagration oneshot in first 5-10 sec of the fight.
If you lose fire resist buff during the fight then you will die too.
New boss doing basically nothing. Summoning ads and casting 400 dmg aoe skill 3 times after reaching 1000 energy.
bwahahahah
i knew they should have never touched it.
what the actual
are they doing…
Oh right, bosses drop 4 items. 2 token and 2 epics.
weren’t they supposed to drop more items on heat 3?
im still stunned about the fact you just get instant 1shot if you don’t meet the softcap FR requirement down to the last 1 FR point.
what terrible design.
i thought you’d just be punished through higher damage taken if you were slightly below the recommended FR level, but instagibs? for real? XD
haaayayayyyy…
Well i guess its 4 instead of 3 like in 2019 vanilla. Im disappointed too.
Dunno what they were thinking. They could give every boss analogue of sapphiron frost aura and it would be much better than stupid oneshots. Or they could give molten armor(thorns) to bosses
honestly, just hearing that this is how they decided to do the “difficulty” is just absurd.
i almost don’t believe what i am reading.
could they actually be that awful at design?
wtf bro like lol.
so FR is completely changed from how it originally worked.
it no longer gradually decrease damage taken, but rather work as actual hard and softcaps!?
yo what be dey smoking.
gimme sum.
No no, its working like it worked back in 2019 or old vanilla. You need fire resist just for system approve. Doesnt matter if you can clear it without fire resist, system wont let you.
but you just said i’ll get blasted for 300k if i am short of the “recommended” level of FR?
so if i am sitting on 220 instead of 226 its an instagib, correct?
that is still a problem in my book.
shouldn’t have to reach a softcap or get annihilated in an instant, that’s some crazy disparity.
i mean, i’ll get the needed FR since thats how it works, but damn man.
Only because of this you need to have 226+ fire resist. Not because of bosses dmg. Thats why its stupid. We need magical 226 number only because of system oneshots.
Just watched Ahlaundoh and he had 222 fr. No oneshots. But as soon as his pala got blasted by ragnaros and they lost pally aura entire group died to confraglation oneshot. I guess you can be few points short.
holy
moly
that is such a dumb system
I agree there shouldn’t be brake points, damage should reduce in linear fashion the more fire res you get.
Hope that gets changed asap
I think it is about “you can’t just outgear the fire dmg, you must wear that 220+” or whatever the real cap is. It would be too easy because of the raid Player cap of 40 to just go with a unusual high amount of healers and now you can do heat level 3 without much fire res effort.
I was hoping more for a system like
Heat level 2: increases all fire damage taken by +50% and decreases your fire resistance by -50.
Heat level 3: increases all fire damage taken by +100% and decreases your fire resistance by -100.
Or whatever would be balanced values to make it “medium” and “hard”.
Or just every boss casts a blast wave every 10 sec that deals impossible to heal amount of fire damage, if you wear zero or low fire resistance.
But these things would be maybe too easy to counter with just going with raid size 25 with 10 healers instead of raid size 20 with 5.
