MDI moderators on twitch channel

Anyone else getting annoyed with moderators on MDI channel? They keep deleting comments that are perfectly fine (often managed to see what it said before deletion and it was normal stuff) and timing out people over nothing?

Are they working for communists or what is going on. We need moderation, not censorship, it is ruining experience.

There was some sketchy thing today with dht map being forfeited. People start asking what happened, which was perfectly fair question. Pinned message goes up saying that Mandatory is forfeited for using unapproved strat. That obviously got people asking for more explanation as this is some vague stuff. Mass deletes, mass timeouts of people who are simply confused as to what is going on. Meanwhile casters do not bother to explain anything and instead are talking about their favorite pets or whatever other mundane stuff.

This sort of thing is not acceptable. For such an impactful decision as this was, we should have been explained with million replays to show what exactly was wrong and why. Instead we got a message saying Mandatory did no no and lost a map. Why exactly are we supposed to believe that this is what happened?

This is poor form for MDI and another fail for blizzard. Like they have not had enough recently. It would be good idea to tell casters to talk about important stuff, even if it is to say that ‘we do not know yet’ instead of pretending that issue does not exist. It would be even better idea to tell mods to stop deleting comments that are in line with ToS.

Rant over, gonna run few keys instead of watching this crap.

I watch the MDI coverage on YouTube (no ads / easy to filter ads) and turn off the chat.

Apparently they mean the same thing to some people

If I want to be a racist son of a gun I’ve got the right to do so!

/REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

just like with Reddit mods you have no power to cancel them. itÂŽs their group and the site allows the mods to take full control of the chat unless the streamer says otherwise.

bliz mods would 100% control the steam threads if they could, but they are not allowed to it seems heh heh heh.

one of the devs regrets when bobby ignored their concerns and slapped steam with their games without any power to moderate whats being said by players (and fake players)

i do like the mods on these forums though, they allow some silly stuff and kind to the wow moaners.

I don’t watch MDI but I wonder if it was because it was some sort of exploit which they didn’t want explained in chat? Just like all exploits are deleted asap from the Blizzard forums. Though, if that was the case, they could have explained to save the confusion. Or I could have misunderstood

They pulled mobs through the gate. Something that dorki’s team asked if they were allowed to do and were told no.

They (blizz) should’ve made their answer visible to all groups for such questions regardless of who asked it to ensure everyone’s on the same page.

Here is the thing. It was not game breaking bug, it was not an exploit.
They pulled extra trash on top of boss using warlocks pet while boss was already active.

Apparently MDI rules specify that while you can do this before boss area is closed off, you cannot do this when it is down. Because reasons.

This is non issue for anything other than MDI setting. You do not do this sort of thing when pushing high keys. You do not do it in lower keys as its too much of a hassle anyway. It only affects the tournament with rules against it cause there is literally nothing stopping you to do this on live should you choose to do so.

So there was no real reason to keep it under wraps. Production has made wrong call to try and bury the problem i stead of being transparent and show people what and why was wrong with the run in question.

I should not need to be learning about an issue on reddit. I should have been shown it on live stream and be explained and enlightened as to why is it fine to pull the pack 10 seconds earlier but not when mandatory done so.

And moderators should stop being so possesive about the chat. They are bunch of karens who act offended by everything and they lost a plot of what is and what is not against tos.

Simple solution. STOP WATCHING

If the view count drops, they will look for the reason why. And when people say “it’s due to cencorship in chat moderation” and other problems, they will have to sort those out.

Money rules the world after all. And a contest without audience is set up for failure.

They are probably same moderators awc had, dumb moderators.

When you deny viewers from typing in chat and drop engagement it gets boring for everyone.

I remember that last year they removed my “I Heard that Joe Biden is a mage main” message in chat. I offended some radical leftist clowns at Blizzard apparently, so they removed it.

So as you can see they are just dumb people and they harm mdi and awc with their moronic decision making.

Ah I remember one more “isn’t cdew 40 years old?” according to radical leftist moderator this is age shaming and offensive probably, so it got removed.

With such moderation Blizzard can never have a succesful esports organization. Counter Strike chats are my favourite, players-casters and chat can use even profanity and everyone happy so I am a regular viewer of counter Strike tournaments because it is fun without clown moderation

why do you need to say this lol

I don’t need a reason, crowded chats are not a place for intellectuals debates lol.

Still you miss the point, there is nothing offensive about it, it just shows level of stupidity they have. I don’t care I am not 24/7 active chat user, my average chat messages were like 4 sentences during 5 hours broadcast, it is just a turnoff for audience.
