Mdi wannabes

most of the wow community is just too dumb , they want to do big pulls like mdi but none of the interrupts and cc or use defensives, and soon people start dying and the group disbands.
even keys starting from +2 have this compulsion of pulling big , i just dont understand if you cant handle it , why do it?
some tanks cant even stay alive and still continue pulling big.
cbm+ 10 a warr tank charges in and only uses revenge ,not a single ignore pain, when will they learn?
i just think its a low IQ issue.

My guild split in Legion because 5 people were mad we didn’t copy Method’s strats while playing Heroic.

Utterly mad.

Most players can mash buttons quite effectively but dont know why.

There’s an Method ‘HR joke’ there.

Probably, but the real joke is people overcomplicating things.

In the community´s defense, WoW has generally the same spread of intelligence as teh rest of society. This also means by definition that 50% will be below average.

What WoW also seems to have , and this does seem a bit more specific to it and esp a specific subset of the playerbase, is that everyone that´s dinged maxlevel seems to fully believe that they´re some sort of god and the only thing holding them back from being Gingi´s Nemesis is always everyone else.

But it´s not actually everyone, it´s an even smaller subset of the lower 50% that are incapable of critical thought that just do what someone tells them (Only invite these classes, anything under 3k rio is bad, you have to spec exactly this way our you suck… etc and so on and so forth).

Unfortunately, they´re generally also the most vocal, because they firmly believe that it´s bad game design and teh rest of the community and not in any way related to their own disjointed perspective or the expectatio that a group of people randomly pulled off the street that refuse to speak with each other can perform at an even remotely comparable level to 5-20 professional players that do this for a living and DO communicate.

And then they wonder and complain why their little airsoft gang gets roflstomped when deltaforce shows up for a fun day of beer and burgers.

well you cant expect people to have a defeatist attitude and just because something is a bit risky to not try it anyway

especialy that on average most of groups somehow manage those pulls.

plus big pulls are … fun .

people play to have fun

the problem is blizzzard hates people having fun that why they started to put 23978239843739879 casters in group to prevent people mass pulling - instead prevent it just made those pulls much more risky .

Low keys: pulling big cause mobs usually arent thst scary (up untill like 9 ish)

Mid keys: pulling semi big because people started to outgear the keys (up untill 11)

High ish keys: pulling big cause you dont really know when its needed for timer and/or the dps funnilly isnt that great, so have to shave off time somehow? (Up till 14-15 ish)

High keys: pulling big because its a necesity

All keys: pulling big because if you dont, people will start pulling for you, or scream at you to do so. And then you fumble the aggro because mobs are randomly getting pulled in from all directions. It goes to hell, players die, tanks get chewed out

Thats at least how i look at it. :joy: but as a tank, pulling big is kinda fun. Granted i always start seasons slow because i dont have any grasp of the damage that im gonna take

Big pulls fail because healers are a sleep, especially if you having a resto shaman just pop a cooldown every few pulls, or you will just burn thru your mana, you know when the damage spikes come you know when to drop big heals.

nothing wrong with doing mdi pulls,
but the ego they bring sometimes is the issue
they all think they are in Echo

like floodgate , i love the big pull at the start with Bloodlust
thats gucci,

the snapping mobs out of LoS is a bit risky in priory though

More like clear 20% more trash then percentage needs not following a route and wasting more time on trash then needed, due not following routes.

Really would recommend MDT addon can even create own route and see how much % each pull does, allowing you to optimize your pulls and time key more effectively.

You don’t need MDT for a +7 ffs. +7 gives you plenty of time. Just take it easy, pull safe, and you’ll be fine.

Ah yes. At the start of s2 (when I changed from tank to healer) I didn’t mind tanks doing MDI esque pulls (or maybe I didn’t feel them bc I main disc?).

But now, 1+ month after season start, ranking up my hpal, I see tanks (paladins and DHs exclusively tbh) trying that and dropping like flies (at the start of ROOK for instance). Before I can even get a global off. :joy:

I’m not gonna lie tho, it sure beings a (frustrated) smile to my face.

Dps blaming the healer ,the healer blaming the dps, and tank blaming both .it is so much fun .
Hint : it is mostly fault of the whole group when wipes happen . Hence why teamwork is needed

Unfortunately there are as many bad healers and bad DPS in low keys. If you Play as tank its soo painfully visible in those keys :stuck_out_tongue:

The reason is Simple - good healers capable of doing big pulls are long long doing 10s and have no reason to do lower keys

Anything below +6 is just nonsenicaly hard due to people underpwrforming

So best course of playing is do dvelves till you are 650 + and then jump stright to +6 where overveared and good scored people farm last pieces of hero gear they need

That happened last season and was a disaster because people didn’t know tactics and died like lemmings.

Do you ever say anything that isn’t hilariously bad?

They exist in mid keys as well and high keys just more rare.

well thats exactly what im doing this season and it works ok for me

granted i cheat because most of transmogs i want is on classes which can tank
