I leveled my alt warlock to 120, finished an intro quest to unlock Mechagon island, picked up quest at Embassy, then the quest mob I suppose to kill “Rust-Eye the Clever” rolled over me several times until I gave up to solo kill him.
The question is, is it by design that mechagnomes race is supposed to be unlockable by characters that play Alliance as main character?
I dont remember any hard parts unlocking any other allied races, my main is Horde warlock ilvl 430, HoA 74, while the alt lock is level 120, somewhat geared up from normal dungeons, not eligible for heroic since ilvl is low, and this mob just 2-hits my voidwalker, then 3-hits my alt. I dont think its doable at this point. I can understand that some things must be hard, but not undoable.
I just dont have time to grind normal to get into heroic to get into mythic, then grind HoA to max to just make a mechagnome char. Its very time-consumind and plainly dumb, if I wanted grind - I’d play Path of Exile.
You can unlock mechagnomes providing you have 1 char who’s exalted and done mechsgon.
A horde character with the achievements count.
So no. You can do exalted and all the requirements with ur horde character and unlock mechagnomes on your alliance char with ur horde chars achievements
It’s a neutral race, it works the same as void elves and that stuff worked
I did all the achievements, but still need to do a quest from Stormwind embassy. If I got it right.
PS. I suppose Blizzard has nothing to say or considers my little problem unsignificant.
Well, somehow I managed to kill this “Rust-Eye the Clever” mob and turn in the quest, but the quest line did not end, it continues with same tasks, another mob casts I must kill casts debuff on my warlock doing 15k dps for 20 seconds while my warlock only has 75k hps.
I dont really thing I’m going to grind this warlock for another several months throught normal->heroic->mythic to gear her up to be able to solo those super-buffed mobs just to unlock some game feature. This assumes I must not play my main andit will hurt main in terms of power gain from 8.3 features. It just takes way too much time, I’m afraid my carreer and RL will suffer, it just not worth it.
