Right, i got the the SW embassy and click the mechagnome flag … it says “the mechgonian threat (or whatever)” … tick. (i did the skip by talking to prince lalalala)
The level 50 … tick.
I try to make a mechagnome alt, both the “mechagonian blahlalaal” is red and “level 50” is red.
What am i to do? the embassy flag says ive unlocked all needed to play a mecha and the new char page says ive done neither.
also, highmountain tauren are available, but all other races on horde side need achievements to be done and then you go to the embassy.
I thought they were removing all these requirements and you just had to go to the embassy and click the flags and there you go, race available?
Ok so you have skipped having to do the dungeon after talking to the Prince… there are then a bunch of mini quests to do after that bit, doesn’t take too long to do and then you can go make the mechagnome - that is what stumped me a couple of weeks ago
nope, theres no quest off the prince so where do i start this questline? (or even what its called

I will have to do some digging, but sure it was the Prince or a char near him, can’t remember if I had low level quests being highlighted to pick it up but you end up doing stuff around mechagon and working on some item there
You should get a quest that sends you back to Bolarus to speak to Kelsey(?) then you do a few quests there and then go back to Mechagon and do a few quests there before doing an instance which unites the mechagnomes and normal gnomes and then you get sent back to SW (there is a portal thankfully)
honestly, i cant tell where in the questline i am. Doesnt seem to be any quest in boralus or mechagon. Ive unlocked all of mecha and done all the quests i can.
I made a post and got a blank response from blizzard of ‘go check websites. we cant tell you where in the questline you are but we do know’ blah blah response.
Meh, i cant get mechagnomes hey ho not to worry.

I’m sure the quest is available from the Prince guy as soon as you skip the dungeon, he sends you back to Boralus but it isn’t clear that you need to do that quest and its subsequent questline for the unlock either so I can see you (or anyone) not picking it up.
I found Kul’tirans the same, you need to pick up a quest from Cyrus whatshisface but no one sends you there I went back to SW and found out there I needed to speak to him and start the unlock quest.
Aye that is what happened to me… skipped the dungeon, then got the achievement and then the Prince had a yellow exclamation marker to start doing a bunch of mini quests that you do not think are associated, the Prince sends you all over and you end up fixing some machine not too far from where he is and eventually portal to sw
Why I mentioned earlier about ensuring lower level quests stand out, I was level 60 on my alli alt etc
I think some people got confused when the Skip was added and they thought it skipped the entire unlocking process.
All the skip did was make the one dungeon quest requirement part skippable.
Previously the rep requirement was removed.
There is still a quest line to unlock Mechagnomes the process is shorter and easier now but still there.
I went back to SW and found out there I needed to speak to him and start the unlock quest.
