Mechagon Dailies

I absolutely love looking for one last rare to kill at almost 7 am so I can finish this daily, absolute peak game design.
Thank you blizzard.
I’d genuinely rather do Nazjatar without flying.

I just ignore the existence of Mechagon and Nazjatar. The grindy gameplay of those zones makes me puke.

I don’t even mind nazjatar, it takes me like 5-7 minutes every day, but mechagon either takes me 5 minutes or 45 and it just makes me despise this game so much.

I hated Nazjatar, when grounded. I hated it with such passion I completely emo-moded in-game, and gnomes felt ok with all the jetpacks and stuff.

After flying I feel Gnomeland being dread, especially after 3rd exalted character.

Now I none of my other alts have even discovered Gnomeland, but bundle of mini-me’s are revered with fishfaces.

Good design, I guess.

Agreed, I feel the same even though the zones themselves are alright and I have flying unlocked. It’s two hours of my life removed if I choose to do it and it gets repetitive real fast.

I loved Mechagon at 1st, but the low rep rewards and the lack of emissaries has made it soooooo grindy.

I loathed Nazjatar at first sight. I don’t know why they keep creating heavy, depressing zones that we are supposed to spend a lot of time in.

Later, I had to acknowledge that their systems there are not terrible. There are a few really bad points, like the extremes of Benthic, but in general the ideas could be worked on and improved in future zones.

But my reaction on hitting Naz, hearing that offputting music, looking at the verticality (even when I have flying) makes me want to turn around and back through the portal every time.

I’m more baffled by Mechagon. OK, the mechagnome aesthetic doesn’t appeal to me at all, but apart from that, what were they thinking? It’s … incoherent. On one hand, there is an actual story/progression sequence, but on the other there seems no reason to be there once you have flying, and whatever trink or essence you may want.

Nazjatar is not a great zone but at least has nice rewards.

Mechagon is badly designed in just about every way.

I’ve gotten exactly 1 Paragon chest with Rustbolt, i’ve never been back to that island ever since. By far the worst zone in the entire game.

Haven’t done anything in Naz in forever either

I don’t know which ones you allready got for the daily, but with the right items you can unlock Beastbot or Deepwater Maw. Or if you have the right things/ Chromie is available, you can pop over to the alternative reality and grab the Armored Vaultbot. hopes this helps a little.

You should have seen Nazjatar on release with the “kill 10 (or was it 15?) rares” thankfully the community cries loud enough that it was reduced fast

I really like Nazjatar but Mechagon is just super dull. Wish the city had been a large daily zone instead of your another generic looking kultiran island.

I love the zones so much that I prefer to ignore them,.

It just depends what you value more in game. I hate having no flying so I no lifed it from the moment we could grind part II. It didn’t take me too long to get. As a zone I have not enjoyed Mechagon. I loved Nazjatar though.

Gawds Puny, you should try playing it without the add on that gives coordinates (I have an ancient potato of a computer till my VA work starts paying the big bucks). I’m beginning to think Rustfeather is an urban myth. Never seen it. Always see people saying “Its up” but never clapped eyes on the beggar.

Mechagon, like Nazjatar, is more bearable with flying in place. Both zones suffer the same problem, its not the running through mobs, its not the sheer number of mobs crammed into one place, it is the sheer fact that they are so cramped, that they are very difficult to navigate on the ground, which is fine, unless you are say, trying to get to those elusive ‘star’ mobs on your minimap, and you can see lots of little dots clustering around them, and just as you find the path, the beast is slain. rinse and repeat times ten…

Bad design, and what happens when you try to cram so much into one zone, it just becomes an incoherent mess. I mean what, Aszhara’s gaffe is smaller than Vash’jir? Given what we know of her, how the heck does she even fit her ego in Nazjatar?

Still, the forboding music in Nazjatar is absolutely class…

Agree on last especially. People complain about naz music? Like what? It’s extremely fitting for the zone and combines menace, elven pomp with obvious “under the sea” vibes.

The music in wow is one thing that tends to get better as time goes on. The tracks from nya’lotha are brilliant. Hard to say what I expected the place to sound like (apart from “evil”, it’s hard to typify how a realm of eldritch beings should sound) but what they’ve pumped out pretty much ticks my boxes.

I find camping Rustfeather is by far the most effective method. I go to his spawn point, look up to see if there any camp groups, if not I start my own one. His timer isn’t too bad, less than an hour. He just dies too fast if people go ham, and worse if there is a waiting raid group who have been camping.

There are small coords packages like MapCoords that take up next to no room. It wont put a marker on the map though like Tomtom does. I don’t need coords for mobs though. I’ve killed them all enough times to know where they are  I tend to use Silverdragon addon for rares.

Cheers, might have a pop at that then, see how the auld potato copes!

I have done rest in piston achievement before all rares got hp buffs or people start using notify add-ons.
So with this background in mind and after Mecha done I just cant make myself go there :innocent:

Wow, it takes a lot to kill 3 rares, at least 15 minutes, how awful …
