Meeting High elves ingame

I have a reason to be upset which are the Covenant abilities, but mad? No, i had reasons back in mid-BfA, but not now.

Jusy to add, as a game director he probably oversees the game vision in general terms. The idea he sticks his nose in every little decision particularly regarding lore is just inaccurate. That’s not his remit. His side of things was always the mechanical and logistics, and from SL it appears he’s paid attention to the feedback on bfas mechanics.

In all probability he is completely ambivalent to the “high elf question” altogether. That said that doesn’t mean he’ll rubber stamp something into the game just because people keep whinging for it to be done. I mean the velf options show a little of that already so I’d say sit tight and see what comes as opposed to calling for the dudes head, it looks like he acts on mistakes pretty sharply.

Tone of some posters here I get the impression they’d call for head chef of a restaurant to be sacked because a dish didn’t taste the way they thought it would.

LIke you said another “PECELOVING NO SPINE race” alliance is way too much filled with these weirdos with no SPINE who just take hits and nothing else disgusting.

You make GENOCIDE and these weirdos want PEACE /PUKE.

He is a perfect example of a totaly untalented specialist who excells at niche things such as numbers or something like that. An accountant who happened to run an artist studio. A person who cant survive without rules, who is incapable of creativity, full of fear of consequences. People like this will never have audacity to revolutionize the area they work in. Quite opposite, they will try to conserve as many rules as possible.

Totally, and i think the only way we can convince the devs to give Void Elves natural hair colors is to ask respectfully and with reason, not the contrary.

I’m getting fond on the idea that the High Elves are joining forces with their Void Elf relatives.

I’m thinking on some head cannon as how the Void Elves are finding ways to mascarade the effects of the Void on their bodies to look like normal High Elves, or to infuse and empower themselves with the Void without altering much of their physical appearance, that could explain the customization options they are getting. I mean, Thalassian elves are in general very vain, so i expect them to always be looking for ways to look beautiful.

I love Thalassian lore, and i would love to see Void and High Elves interactions and lore development, there’s a lot of possibilities involving the pragmatic Void Elves who came from Silvermoon society eager to fight for the Alliance and the more controlled and ever loyal to the Alliance High Elves.

Considering Vereesa (arguably the high elf leader) and Alleria are close sisters, I can see that happening.

Plus I’m pretty sure I saw New high elves And blood elves students wanting to learn the ways to the void. I forgot the area, but a YouTube video mentioned it.

In stormwind mage Quarter, you can see a High elf mage female and Void elf mage male walking together.

So very likely!

Partly true. The feeling I personaly have towards him is … let me find a correct english word… a sort of disgust but not an aggressive one but subttle. What makes me mad though is that a person like him is put to rule something I like. And this frustration naturally spreads to his personality. Such is human psychology.

I felt the same way about him in the last year, but, due to a lot of reasons, Shadowlands is looking promising and he and the devs in general seem to be more open to feedback and doing more player agency. I agree that having someone you don’t like ruling something you like is maddening, but regardless if i like the way he coordinate the development of the game, or the way he is, the game, which is the product of such development, is going to a better direction in Shadowlands, i think they have to give a better look on the Covenat system, but overall i’m more positive than i was last year.

There should be section for “STORY FEEDBACK”.

It’s called General Discussion, anything regarding wow is welcome.

I agree that SL looks promising. Although I have unsubbed until then but honestly cant wait to play SL cos the draenei customization looks awesome. I however disagree on the reasoning behind these promising changes. In my opinion the dev crew was simply forced to react qucikly and meaningfull. 8.3. almost killed playerbase. The failure that came after all the terrible decisions that this devteam made is disasterous, catastrophic. Again, in my opinion, I think they didnt even realize how much of a failure it could be. Just because of how untalented these people are. They cared enough about math, numbers, functionality. But the lack of talents didnt allow them to forsee such a failure in a broader sense.

When talking about Ion. As a comparison. Chris Metzen. I really dont like his fascination about noble savagery, the righteous barbarism and what is called neo-kulturpessimismus. I am a man of civilization. But I have a lot of respect for Metzen. Because he is a talented artist. His artistic visions that are created upon his cultural preferences are brilliant. Ion does not have a vision. What he has is a blurry vague image that is hardly put together thankt to marketing researches. Whereas Metzen defines marketing, Ion follows it and defined by it. He is the one who carries the piano, Metzen was the one who played it.

What I also learned about EU community is that people are way more mellow here. I’m not saying it’s bad. You guys have centuries of history that formed your public ethics. Sometimes I find it a bit confusing and burdening for me. There’s a whole system of verbal, oratory devices you use to present you opinion in a nice way, even if this exactly opinion is fueld by your righteous anger. When used by a smart person it’s fine. But when a not-that-smart-person tries to use it it results in a series of platitudes. The same actualy goes for a more straight-forward way of expressing yourself. Frank and candid rant looks decent when it’s delievered by a smart person yet it looks nasty when a dumb person tries to burb his anger out.

Sorry to disappoint you, but she’s a Highborne not a High Elf. Highborne were the upper class of the Kaldorei society, now mostly known as the mages in their society. But in their language they are called Quel’dorei-Children of the noble birth. Though most people refer to High Elves as Quel’dorei now. But both Highborne and High Elves are Quel’dorei. High elves were descendants of the Highborne to left Kalimdor after The war of the ancients with Dath’remar Sunstrider.

Edit:also Highborne are said to be pastier/more pale than the rest of the Night Elves. Blizzard used the white hair, pale skin and no markings to differentiate the Highborne elves from the normal Night Elves. But they can look like any average Night Elf as shown in the ruins of Zin-Azshari.
