PLEASE give us NOTICE for when this is happening. Just flipping a switch one evening is terrible for those of us who don’t want to have to rename our characters… again!

This, i agree with what they are doing , retail expansion will take away some of the population so merging realms into a really big mega server will have positive impact for every1 that wants to play SOD.
I don’t like that transfers are optional tho, every1 should be forced to transfer to the new megaserver , especially because like they mentioned factions on pvp realms are perfectly balanced.
I still didn’t understand , do these open transfers allow pvp players to go to pve realms or not? - i hope not because pve realms seem to have imbalanced faction %. both PvE realms on EU/NA region are like this.
Also yes they need to put a date and time to that post so ppl know EXACTLY when its happening.
Maybe if they added the retail function of GUILD TRANSFER, it would be less of a hassle.
Surely PVP realm → new PVE realm transfers will be allowed, right?
Since there only is one single PVE realm anyway right now, there wouldn’t be a point of making a new one if transfers from existing PVP aren’t allowed.

“To reach that goal, we will soon open Free Character Transfers from all Season of Discovery realms to one single PvP realm and one single PvE realm in each region (where applicable).”
So on EU its not applicable then, i guess Wild growth will be considered as mega server
They just have to FORCE transfers from all pvp realms to the mega server so we dont end up with some Living flame/Lone Wolf/CS 100-0 faction balance where only 1 side left in mass which will without question ruin the balance of the mega server as well.
Personally: I’m fuming. This will ruin the #classic experience.

What you’re saying does make sense, for EU it’s only Wild Growth anyway so there’s no reason to make a new PVE realm I guess. Bummer for those looking forward to leveling again on a “fresh” realm, who are not really interested in SOD PVP.
I wanted to give feedback but I don’t have a character on the US servers. This will be big if I they allow us to go from PvP to PvE for free. Pretty please!
What happens if u have alliance on one PvP realm and horde on another? You will basically be forced to chose one that is going to have to stay on a dead realm?
This is why they aren’t merging but “leaving it to players to transfer when they want”. So the first char you transfer, that’s your faction, other faction chars can go F themself on a dying server.
