Melee range sucks

without the additional melee range it feels terribke to play big pulls.
i cannot see which target i have selected in these giant pulls and then i cannot press ravage or bite because i am constantly out of range.

are there any really good target highlighters to make it easier?
i tried marking and giant arrows but it still basically invisible in big pulls and hard to position

Yup, it’s horrible.

Huge giants with a hitbox of a critter, clutter under mobs, lots of spell effects, can’t see what is actually going on.
Removal of extra few yards was the worst thing that ever happened to Ferals.

especially when specs like ret still exist that have no targeted aoe and basically evoker range for all their spells lol

I “fixed” it on all my melee classes by using a macro on one of my spam abilities tjat automatically targets the closest enemy.

/cleartarget
/targetenemy [noexists][dead]

can you still multi rake with that easily?

yeah it is really horrible, and not fun, it feels like, this game isnt designed, to play without astral influence in dungeons/m+

people can call it a “skill issue” but it´s not only about to avoid dmg, its about scenarios where i cant spread my rake on mobs because of the small range, also i noticed that, sometimes i only run (away) from mobs because theres are multiple Frontals + rnd aoe ground effects at the same time

and overall it feels less smooth

idk either they revert the change, or give tank/feral a baseline increased range what works only in Pve.

Shure, if you move around it should always target the closest enemy. If the closest enemy always changes then you should rake multiple targets.
I would put it on Shred though tbh.

good stuff, thanks for the tipp

Yea, it feels terrible after years of playing with the extra range. I don’t get this change. Every season the M+ meta is full of ranges, but Blizzard is handicapping the melees.
