By now i guess some or many of you want to play a race that is not available in the game. And i aswell have been waiting for a race that might not even come true. Maybe in the next life, but i am here voicing my opinion and thoughts about a solution or something of that nature to promote more races or heroes in the game.
Before i start, i just want to clarify something. It is important to know that the armor system in the game just like the “dracthyr” is not super important and this is a future aspect of why other races should not have any problems of being implemented due to model size and shape. For example a race with 4 legs or even 4 arms does not necessarily need extra boots or weapons to complete the character look. To drag this even further as of another type of example. Let say a race of “Centaurs” 4 legs right?. Well visually you just need the upper armor to be seen, if that makes it easier. The armor system will be the same for them all, to balance them equally in this aspect (Stats etc). Just like the dracthyr, the centaurs can get customization looks on their legs and their backs etc, to compensate for the “lower part of the body” not fully kitted with armor etc.
Now on to the main topic of why i made this thread:
Just like any other games out there that has new champions, heroes, weapons, armor and skins made every 1-3 months + -. This ties especially good with the new trading outpost system blizzard have implemented. And as i can see this is something that can be further be built upon. For now blizzard have added:
*Mounts
*Armors (clothes)
*Weapons
*Pets
What if blizzard added a new unlockable hero from a certain race in there as mercenaries (singular character), since blizzard stated that they need a reason to add races and it needs to be justifiable to even make them an allied or unlockable race. So this way you can only get one unlockable hero. As we all know a mercenary does not need any reason as long as you have the money to pay for him/her 
People would probably be going crazy just stating these thoughts of mine, but i am not a completionism and if “Hozen = monkey race” mercenary pops up the trading post, i probably would not choose them since a mercenary would probably cost insane an insane amount to unlock and that is not even my type to play. And this gives players flavor and excitement to see who pop ups from time to time. We do not need justifiable expansion drama to unlock a heroes. Since the meaning of “mercenary” is pretty obvious. This shortens the gap of other races being unlockable, but the big down side, you get only “one” per account, lore reasons, rep, drama etc etc. If mounts costs 1k tenders, lets say a hero costs 5k. Giving us the feeling that we need to spend our currency wisely, but this is just my opinion and the price is not up to me to decide.
I have been waiting personally for the “Mantid race”. Ever since i started playing wow at the end of pandaria. The whole reason i like the expansion was due to the panda race and the mantids. I do not know why, but if i ever get the mantids unlocked, damn… That is my boost, and that is my source of happiness^^
As for the other races not mentioned, here is an example of a small list of races that can be added as mercenaries in the trading post:
1 Arakkoa.
2 Ogres
3 Tuskarr
4 Mantid
5 Cenarion/dryad race
6 Gnoll
7 Furbolgs
8 Harpy
9 Dragonkin/draknoids
10 Sethrak
11 Vrykul
12 Hozen (Monkey race)
13 Jinyu (Fish race)
14 Murlocks
15 Naga
16 Elementals (Far stretch, but doable. I do not see them being all classes, only tied to their elements, in this case fire elemental being a fire mages and so on)
17 Ethereal
18 Centaurs
19 The shadowlands races?
20 Other current playable race variants = for example undead orc, human, elf, troll etc? What about a forest troll, winter troll or even a blood troll? Should i add more fun to this? What about a Human gladiator who has changed racial, for example: Since he is a gladiator human he looses the “Diplomacy” racial, keeps the other 2, but gains “Kill or be killed” racial. If you ask me what this is, well i have no idea, it was just an example. And to stretch it even further out, maybe give it gladiator stance? :D, the list goes on^^
And many more. There is a lot of content here. I can go on, but people usually stop reading by now so yeah.
This is just my opinion and i welcome every criticism you guys have. Since there are probably many more interesting ideas someone out there have.
