Christmas - or Winter Veil, in WoW’s case - is just another Pagan festival that was stolen by Christianity and has ended up as a mass of commercialisation for sentiment that should be expressed all year round.

Yes, I’m a cynical sh*t, but you don’t get to my age without a healthy slice of cynicism every once in a while.

I know but i was trying to light a lil spark of joy and hope in the middle of so much negativity on the forums recently.
There is atleast 10 poeple on the forums whom i rly like and care for and i wish people joy and happiness all year round .
Im actually so close to leaving the forums and game not because of how it plays but how the community is so negative.
Post after post there is heated debate and negative views that if anything fun and positive is posted its soon lost.
I will flag my own post and ask for removal it seems saying merry xmas is even bad now.

Happy Christmas and yes like others I know it’s really celebrating the returning of the sun as in the pagan side of it but not the point it’s a time to drink too much eat too much and fall asleep on the sofa surrounded in my case family pets and even more food. Have a good one all.

Nothing got stolen (from me): I still celebrate it as is it was :). Sharing food with family and friends to get through the winter and lights to lighten up the longest nights of the year. People are used to calling it christmas, for me it’s just a name.

So merry christmas everyone! And lots of beautiful moments wished upon you for the new year.

Also, the winter hearthstone suprised me; it’s actually just a fun, silly little thing as I remember from wow, and it’s great! Thanks!
