After 18 years in this game, i am so frustrated about the changes you do and brake a class over and over. We spent time and our time matters for us.
This game is not only for premade groups. 99% are normal players who wants to login, have some fun and logout.
You need to listen to the 99% of gamers. not adapt to the 1%

why do you Blizz have to brake one class and impower another?
Why do you force players to change their main and play a class or spec that they dont like or want to?
Why do we always have to wait and hope for the NEXT patch or expansion?
Why dont you listen and respect our time in this game?
Druid Tank sucks again and bean bad in many year now.
Right now it looks like its not worth the time spending in m+ if i dont change my main.
Play the class you like to play and if it gets too weak for your taste, respec your specialization or play on one of your alts until the your main class is strong again.

I support the essence of the topic, but I’ll correct it here: in the case of the bear, they don’t make any adaptation to 1% of the players. if they had listened to this 1% of the players, then they would not have done such nonsense with this spec.

I am a noob, I just play … choose talents that look okay … and try to have fun. Don´t do metas or look at how others build.
I’ve been playing Guardian for a while now, being Druid and Worgen is my game identity and probably never gonna change prolly cause my love towards Druid lore plus I’m a man of habits. So if we’re in really bad condition either skip a season or I’ll just play Feral (LoL) or Resto. Being said, I always envy the meta ngl but never had issues getting an inv as Guardian. Tank shortage is real.
If you are what you say “in the 99%” then you totally can play guardian druid. All tanks can do m+. Only if you want to be in the top 0.1% you are forced to play the meta classes. Top druid tanks can still complete +18 keys.
Don’t get carried away by the stats and sentiment. Just play whichever class you enjoy because it will work just fine as long as you’re not trying to be world champion.
Bear in mind that for others it is fun to switch class and specs and see how well they can adapt in a new season.
Guardian Druid has never been below A tier since Legion, my love.

Mistweaver and “nerfed” discipline priest are still doing 50-70% more dps than a resto druid in any competitive group and those specs provide damage reduction and shields which is key to survive top keys.
I don’t belive they even care about m+ balance at this point and they’ll blue post us saying “go play Fellowship game if you log in to dungeons” in the end.
I’m not sure I follow what this topic is about? 
The title says “Meta or the class we like to play?”… But the topic is more about “frustration over balancing” than anything…
You say you want Blizz to stop balancing specs, and then right after say your specs to be balanced so you can play them again.
I don’t know… This post sounds more like you being frustrated, and letting it cloud yourself from seeing why balancing is needed for the game to function. And I totally get the frustration, but reality is that MMOs will ALWAYS require class balancing, because it is a genre of games that get new content constantly.
You can’t just “balance classes perfectly, and then NEVER touch it again”.
If it was that simple, we would already have all classes in perfect balance long time ago.
100% true… but not really something that is connected to balancing at all? This is more about “content and systems”…
but they can do the balance not quite perfectly, but just a rough balance. so that it simply doesn’t happen that one spec is worse than the other in everything, and not just worse, but literally many times worse.
Thats just a flat out lie. Guardian has been more in the B-tier and below than in A-tier and above.

Meta for alt classes
As someone who does, 90-95% of my M+ solo, as a tank and healer;
Do yourself a favor and roll meta classes if PuGs are the way you’re going.
I can’t imagine how bloody hectic it is to be a non meta DPS specs in M+ if even a tank/healer role gets overlooked (brew monk + rdruid s1 tww) for the meta equivalent.
up until +10 even brewmaster can be good. and guardian is way better than that. I tanked last 2 seasons in pve cus feral was hot garbage in m+ and my guild needed a tank anyway. I tanked few mythics now in feral gear too and it was ok… I mean we are far from bad. Sure we are not meta but who cares? Meta really doesnt matter that much. What you need is a guild to play with. I dont play much with randoms so our guild members can always play what they want and how they want. Its not the best possible way to do stuff but we get it done so who cares? have fun, enjoy the game, make friends. dont worry about meta and such.
How much? meta means exactly what it means. you either play meta, or you don’t have the opportunity to complete the top keys on time.
