If that’s the case it’s a surprise to hear since it was never really brought up on the forums or in LFRP apart from the famous example, who got a lot of flack for it.
Well, guilds that have ERP’ers in it don’t tend to last long (usually), so they probably keeled over before it could be brought up.
Can confirm there was definitely a lot of shady stuff going on in the Moklohns and Hand of Agony (who have since reformed into a much better iteration) which I’d assumed was okay because I was so young, but in retrospect a lot of the behaviour is deeply unsettling looking back considering the vast majority of members were minors.
One good take away of the server shift is hammering down on ERP-based guilds and concepts; whilst it certainly hasn’t died down entirely, it’s a lot more behind closed doors than it was.

everyone and their nan talks behind the backs each other on Argent Dawn. It’s been like that for years, people just seem to make a big deal out of it more now than they used to.
Personally, in times where 90% of the realm values ooc more than they do IC. I really don’t find it shocking people start having fits over eachothers rp.

Because I don’t wanna read through 250+ posts, I’ll just respond to the OP.
I can’t help but agree. Though I haven’t been on AD long, as I moved with my guild from DB a few years ago, but things have soured over time. While for now things between my guild and whoever was involved in the drama (You know who you are) have quited down mostly, I am simply put tired of it.
There is the good ol’ PCU vs anti-PCU and while it is quiet a lot of the time, I still just find it simply tiring. I have friends on either “side” (In lack of better words) and yet I feel timestimes I am expected to choose between one and the other, which has just distanced me from the community at times, which I hate.
I don’t find this accurate. I like to think most of us -want- to be together, united, whatever but past dramas that still smolder will make that very hard to fix, if able to be fixed at all because there’s players on either end that don’t want to let bygones be bygones.

From my point of view, Argent Dawn has changed because a lot of the players have also changed. Some no longer play WoW, lots of the younger players have grown into adults and some of us oldies have just got even older.
I don’t find it as harsh as it was back when I started on this realm. I haven’t had any death threats for quite some time because of who I’m associated with, or how I have reacted on these forums in the past. I think most just probably ignore me these days. But, the same goes for any attacks on these forums in these days, they are more well thought out, not just a sudden vitriolic explosion.
The trolls aren’t as skilled in my view, they aren’t even passable copies from the past. Argent Dawn is lively, friends and enemies around every corner, much like life. It is down to the individual to form their own opinions of their fellow forum goers and gamers, brainwashing is something in the imagination of those who actually are looking for someone to make look worse than themselves.
At the end of the day, groups of people will always attract like-minded players to their circles, the PCU being a good example. I will never understand the hate one, hate them all attitude towards this RP community, it just seems very ignorant of those outside the PCU that are constantly on attack mode towards them.
