Greetings, i am just wondering if anyone else that has a decent computer is experiencing “micro stutters” like i get a 5fps drop when i enter stealth for example, which isn’t that bad but it’s annoying, like i would be able to run the game uncapped at 150-200 frames but when i cap the game at 100 fps and enter stealth or use some abilities i get these micro fps stutters, i have tried a lot of methods to try to fix this but i am out of ideas… anyone else experiencing this?
My specs:
RTX 3060 TI
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 6-core
32gb ddr4 3500mhz ram
An easy thing to do would be to delete the cache folder in the wow folder, it’s just temporary files. Sometimes they can get corrupt and cause issues.
Some add-ons can also cause issues. If add-ons fault they don’t always tell you but handling that fault can slow down your PC. Make sure you have up-to-date add-ons. Check for add-ons that don’t match the current wow version and disable them, if that doesn’t work disable all add-ons and see if it happens.
Do you have other stuff running in the background, maybe overlays like steam or Overwolf etc.
Check the load on your PC. While you have a fairly recent PC you may have put setting up too much. Things like AA and shadows use so much resources for very little benefit. Turn then down a bit.
i’ve tuned down my graphics settings yesterday, put shadows to low and lowered a lot of other settings, going to try to deleting the cache.
I always have a hardware monitor running on my other monitor and everything is running fine i dont have many programs running in the background other than Opera GX browser and NZXT CAM which is the hardware monitor i use…
I have a feeling it has something to do with the game… other games don’t have these issues.
