Midnight no new level cap?

It looks like we are not getting a new level cap, normally they would put that in the trailer and the announcement post.

You’re right, they usually display that… But then again they’ve asddasasdasd it up so much, at this point I don’t really care.

What they should do is revert to real levels. BFA was 120, SL 130, DF 140, TWW 150 and MID 160.

It is probably just going to be in a later announcement…if the expansions has a lack of player progression with something as big as levelling, that would be a massive error on Blizzard’s part, I think.

maybe they change back 70lvl and midnight 80lvl

Maybe a new stat squish! The new level cap is going to 50 and the next saga expansion will be level 60!

It is mentioned in their article to be 90.

We know there will be a stat squish for Midnight, but there was no mention of a level squish. At the same time, delaying level squish to the first expansion after the War Soul Saga would allow for a “smoother” start of that new saga. It would also coincide with us being level 100 during The Last Titan.

The level boost is to 80, so the max level will be 90 most likely

Remember as well that it’s technically not a new level cap. it’s an old level cap. We were level 90 once before.

Leveling is basically a formality at this point since the story experience is mandatory and linear.

Announcing leveling as a feature is a bit pointless when it doesn’t really serve a purpose besides acting as familiarity and tradition.

Leveling was a formality since the first expansion. You want to tell me that after all the raid bosses our characters killed we need to level up to kill some wolves and bandits?

I’d say it’s probably just a mistake on their side, no way there wouldn’t be a new level cap.

I’d say until Blizzard starts to introduce story campaigns in the leveling phase, which is during WoD, the levels themselves do serve the purpose of guiding the player through the content experience, i.e. telling the player what content they’re suited for and what they’re not.
But now that we have the story campaign we basically just have to play through that to open up the content. That’s become the prerequisite to the content, more so than the levels. The levels just come by themselves as a byproduct of playing through the mandatory story campaign.
But we keep the levels because it’s what players are used to.

Is the boost token active and if so what is the ilvl it gives to your character?

I see it now, it is indeed mentioned
