Is this how it is supposed to work?
Cant do the quests on characters I did it on last year. Can only extinguish fires that I didnt do last year. Seems abit weird.

Nope … just like with pretty much all world events in classic, it’s bugged and didn’t reset.

They probably have it on a 12 month reset timer, and since it was 1 month later, they forgot to reset it correctly.

Standard bug. They have had to reset this many times in the past as well - It’s just a faithful re-play

I’m also locked out of all the bonfires due to doing them last year aswell. I digged into it, and found this archived version of an old official site stating that
Each individual fire can only be interacted with once per year.
Other than that, the [Flame of the Exodar] seems to bug aswell, not offering the quest again, like the other major city bonfire questitems does fine.

Still an issue on EU
They are probably working on it in EU and US 
So i logged on to the char on which i did the lord ahune prequests and quests with, they’re not available for that char, /applause #failure
They reset it all!
dunno what they did but did not work out for my mage, i checked all the npc’s in orgrimmar
