The tin foil part of me thinks the reason the mount was removed + silently removed from BMAH, and all talk of bringing it back is ignored and swept under the rug, is because a lot of players using this mount’s AH all around Azeroth puts an unexpected amount of strain on the AH backend.
Doubt there is any merit to that idea, but who knows when there is literally 0 communication from Blizzard on this topic.

It’s interesting that slightly before this mount was released they designed the new, crippled AH, so maybe they had that exact fear in mind.
Exactly, Blizz wont return this mount because its going to have the same effect as Garrisons had, remove the community and social interaction feeling from the game completely. Major cities will become ghost towns
Dont get me wrong, I would love to have that mount but Blizz is afraid to bring it back for this exact reason, they probably regret making it to begin with
I don’t think the idea of “bringing back the AH mount will make ghost cities” is true, and same for “more AH mounts will strain the AH system”.
You can see today many people with the mount and still staying in the city.
Also, no one talked about bringing the mount to all the players. it can easily stay a hard to get mount, with high price tag and maybe even high achieve points requirement, so not so many people will get it.
and finally, work orders, weekly quest givers, and other city facilities still make people coming back anyway.
No, I think that any problem people discussed already been answered with very good solutions.
This right here is the problem not the removal…
“for gold cap” that is a terrible way of doing it, at the very most it should be 500k not 5M.
It’s actually quite common & normal to ask for a high price for something so prestigious, so I think most people will agree to the need of high price for something like that.
Problem is only in that it’s too useful, and as such it makes a very unfair bias when some players have it and others can’t at all, even if they want to pay.
You can justify unachievable mounts for example if they are only mounts and nothing else. But we talking here on something so useful in the everyday playing, so that nothing can justify this unbalancing. Especially when they promised it would still be achievable, which apparently is not true.
I wonder if it’s even Blizzard that blocking this item from appearing in game, or it’s Activision who asked Blizzard to block it and not to say anything about it.
IMO, Someone should try to ask Blizzard developers about it, next time they are in any interview…

I know I’m late maybe to answer this but, it has been on BMAH at least twice since the removal.
Twice per realm. Two MCBs have according to those numbers been available per realm. Or do you mean only like two times in total? Only two MCBs have been available in total for players to fight about.
Unsure? I’ve seen them twice on Argent Dawn within the past 7 months.
So, on a scale from ‘infinite stock at vendor’ to ‘removed from the game’, how obtainable do you consider the mount to be based upon your observations?
Still obtainable? I mean, it is just going to cost you gold cap mostly.
You are saying I simply can log a gold-capped character and buy it from BMAH whenever I please?
It hurts the social aspect of the game in the same way garrison did
People wont be visiting big cities anymore and it will create the ghost town effect
They will never make it available ever again or anything similar, just throw 1-2 every year on some random RP servers
No, it’s not.
That’s already has been answered here, but here it is again:
Firstly, You can see all the time many people on their AH mount IN THE CITIES.
It’s because the cities has many other facilities, such as trade chat, working orders, bank, weekly quests, and more.
Also when it cost a goldcap to get, there will never be too many people who got it.

No its not. The mount near the AH is just for flexing purposes
So you saying that people with the mount can at the same time see trade chat, fill working orders, craft table stuff, go to the bank, and so on outside the city? I don’t think so.
Just watch some goblin streamers and you will see yourself.

Even if it appear in some random BMAH once in few months, you have no real chance to buy it with goldcap as it probably won’t pop on your realm but on a different one.
There are some known people on discord who sell it for real money only, so it gonna cost you some 1500 Euro (which could be TOS breaking) in addition to the goldcap and a payment to realm transfer, which doesn’t guarantee you get there at time before someone else does.
The only way it will become achievable at BMAH is if it will pop on every realm at least once in a while.
