Migrate your authenticator...doesn't work

We have been saying for months now, the changes to the Authenticator does NOT work.

When you attempt to log in, you get the message to switch to the BNET App, which then asks you to enter your password, and then Shock and Disbelief, asks you to go to your AUTHENTICATOR App, which then tells you its no longer working and switch to the BNET App, which then asks you to enter a password, and then asks you to got the…yes, you’ve guessed it…THE AUTHENTICATOR APP, which, …guess what? Asks you to use the BNET App and then login again with your password…and round and round we go…

It doesn’t work…

Either fix it, or get rid of it.

To be honest, it would have been more cost effective for them to buy a subscription to ChatGPT and ask that to create/fix this problem, than their mobile app/battle.net team.

I think you have to remove your authenticator first, since it is still connected to the old authenticator app which is not working anymore (disabled since… this week?).

After removing the authenticator you can probably install the new battle.net app.

Yeh, tried that. Didnt work. All it did was ask me to authenticate my login…via the Authenticator app… so i had to install the Authenticator again…

It’s not a case of logging in, its the fact that the NEW App asks you to use the Authenticator in order to Login to the NEW App… Which means you HAVE to use the Authenticator to login to the NEW app…you see where I’m going with this.

Even if you uninstall your Authenticator, the NEW App (January 5th) STILL asks you to go to the Authenticator and TAP APPROVE!!! How the F am i supposed to do that if I’ve been told the Authenticator doesn’t work anymore because i should have migrated it to the NEW App, which I cant do because i cant login into it without using Yes, you guessed it the AUTHENTICATOR APP…XD XD

Don’t shoot the messenger.
This thing worked before the 5th of januari. Yes you had to confirm in the old authenticator your first log in in the new app. The authenticator was installed for that reason in the first place. Since you did not remove it in time you are stuck now. So you have to contact customer support.

The support article clearly said to change your authenticator before the 5th of Jan. Your best bet now is to raise a ticket.
