What’s that supposed to mean?
Is it a poke? An insult? A weird comment that makes no sense?
Just because you don’t have a come-back, because my comments are true and based on facts and logic, doesn’t mean you get a free ‘troll’ pass.

Is has nothing to do with you. I used the same “you” as you. It is in general.
The guy cant mock anyone really. Not while being a meme.
You ducked the potential of your char yes. But that doesnt mean you are doing lower content. For example cutting edge right now could easily be achieved by giving a flying poop on min maxing. But thats now at a time when the tier has past its expiration date. However one doing Curve or lower content is not required whatsoever to min max ones character. One cant judge one from wanting to do it since it improves performance, but its not required.
Right. My bad for misinterpreting it then. I apologize.
Yes you’re right. Like I said; my comments are true, but the exception is the challenging hardest content available; of course you need to squeeze every drop of performance in such a case.
It has everything to do with doing lower content. I explicitly said.
So when you are doing 12’s with min maxing you are doing 10-11 without.
It has always been an issue as far as I can tell. It was an issue back in Vanilla and TBC where if you didn’t have the right talents/gear/enchants during your ‘inspection’ at bank, then you weren’t going to get a spot.
This isn’t something new in any shape or form.
No. it is for the hardest content of that specific player.
This is implying one is doing 12s with min maxing and playing at his very best and barely making it. There are so many factors affecting performance next to min maxing. Majority of players cant utilize min maxing in the same fashion as the top players of this game.
I disagree.
There’s a cut-off point there where lack of skill/knowledge of the game/mechanics is the main detractor and people are just going to have to be honest to themselves in that case. We can’t all be world-champions, so to speak.
Well, looking at myself. We are simming, videorecording, logging, analysing, changing builds based on the comp we have since less ST in our group, etc. With all of this we make it to 18’s. Otherwise it was 16’s.
Minmaxing is very important, also for horrible terrible bad players like me and my group.
I would put the blame at the feet of cross-realm play. Back when I played in WoTLK, there were servers with different communities and different ways of play. When cross-realm play, ALL servers became Kazzaks and Draenors.
All servers have to play by the same rules, the same meta. There are no server communities and rules anymore. There are no casual servers and hardcore servers. I’d assume warmode made it worse, because it pushed the players from the pvp servers into the same player pool as the players from the pve servers. Let’s be fair - all pvp servers are kinda more hardcore than the pve ones. But now, pve server players have to play by the rules of the pvp community.
Of course an infinitely scaleable, infinitely farmable mode doesn’t help much.
That supports my claim that there are many more factors that play a role next to just min-maxing such as personal skill. The vast minority could “transform” the min maxing in the same fashion the top players can. A top player make a 100% use out of the 1% performance increase for instance. I could probably get it up to a 60 or something. Others to a 80 and others again maybe to a 20.
Also it depends what kind of min maxing. For instance lets take a covenant choice. Boomkins that are going Fae arent “min maxing” but rather “do i want to deal damage or rival the tanks pretty much”. Same goes with Talents. If its AoE week and i go in with a single target build then ye i cripple myself by a lot (at least in regards of overall speed. Ofc other factors play a role here as well like priority damage, affixes etc etc) even tho in general i dont care about that myself as i entered a fortified 18 Mists in single target because i cba. Thats not even min maxing anymore that point
That is exactly as i am saying. And when everyone of any skill is going to duck up his char then he is doing lower content We are pushing everything we can with our limitations. When we would make our chars worse we are doing lower content. I am not sure why that is even a discussion.
Because you could get the same improvement (and more) just by becoming a better player. I sincerely doubt youre at the very limit of the skill you could obtain.
There is not much to gain with the amount i am already playing and have experience playing. I am now on… ~600 keys this season too. “Just become a better player” is not so easy. I am already that better player. I video record already for years to become that “better player”. I don’t know what i actually can do more.
Give me a worse char and i will do worse
Talking aboot bad tunning, Denathrius is wrongly tuned.
Don’t really agree with this personally. I’ve found Dena’s been quite a well tuned fight tbh.
The game became harder, this is why min maxing is a thing.
This is just wrong, min-maxing has always been a thing and always will be.
I think what she means here is that min-maxing wasn’t as promiment as it is now. Back in older content you did not have to try and maximise your performance to the extend you have to do now. Bosses weren’t as mechanic heavy, which left room for plenty of mistakes to happen and you can still get through them.
But I think it isn’t just that. The game back then had millions of players, and we didn’t have cross-realm. The two groups weren’t interracting much with each other if they could avoid it, and even if you got declined in being taken for a group there were many others that you could join.
It isn’t just one thing, but a multitude of other small changes on top of the declining playerbase that lead up to this point.
Still people forget that it isn’t just about stats. Optimising your CD usage depending on the pulls you do in M+ or in raids will net you bigger results than a few more percent more haste or crit.

I would agree especially since back then people didn’t have all the guides, sims etc at the tips of their fingers. Min-maxing was more for people who cared about the game more. Nowadays everyone and anyone can easily access sites like raidbots etc to sims their characters so it’s more prevalent.

hard agree
People allways say this. Getting good is so much harder and takes much longer than min maxing your character.
Yeah you may not need that 10% increase from a different covenant if you play better.
The difference is changing covenant is easy, takes a set amount of time and you get that 10% even if you don’t play well.
On the other hand improving at the game may take a lot of time and you may never get much out of it.
Some people will never get better, because they don’t play enough or cause they lack reflexes.
Exactly. I have absolutely no idea anymore how to get better. It is so easy to say “just get better”. A better char makes me do better than a worse. It is not that difficult
