I was wondering what would be the minimum ilvl to enter arena as a healer for example, on hpala or rshaman (2v2), and push up to like 1.6 or so? (With LFG ppl, no solid partner that can “carry”).
I read there’s a lot of ppl on low CR (1.4) full gear? Not sure how much I need to prepare. In BFA you could go in arena pretty low gear and still win kind of.
Probably play “low cr cap conquest” games to get 3/3 options from the weekly vault, get 197 ilvl covenant gear and after 2-3 chests start buying the missing pieces from the vendor. 200 ilvl should get you to 1400, 207 to 1600, 213 to 1800 etc.
Managed to get to like 1580 something on a 193 Arms Warrior until we chain queued into WW’s with gear, definitely doable though.
But yeah @OP, we might as well have GS for PvP rn, you need a higher iLvl than the bracket provides in order to comfortably progress unless you happen to be playing far below your skill level on a meta class.
I specced dps and play double dps at 1k mmr until you are conquest capped.
Pro: lots of fast games
Cons: you will lose alot
Pro: but that doesnt matter since the games are fast
If you are playing LFG with no solid partner this is best option. If you have a semi-decent dps (ilvl 210+) you can play healer, or a venthyr warrior (ilvl 195+), to reach 1.4k.
At the expansion begining, you could play with low gear.
Now I would aim for at least 200ITL, even then nerves will be damaged, but with hpala could be better, then other healers
