So I’ve been in Azeroth for the first time now for about a week. I’m loving everything about it. With my professions (Mining and Engineering) are there relevant NPC’s to level them up in Azeroth? I’m not levelling mining by mining the ones scattered around like monolith ore etc. Also my mining is stuck on Draenor Mining and not on the default one. Do I unlearn Draenor, is it actually worth it etc etc.

Here’s how it works, lad: The professions (mining and engineering included) are separated by the expansions, and each expansion has its own skill bar to fill. Ye can find the trainers for the professions for each expansion within that expansion’s main hub, except for Warlords of Draenor, where ye will obtain the tome for mining on yer first ore.
Ye can’t gain any skill points in the expansion before ye have unlocked it at the trainer. Ye can find the trainer for the profession ye need by asking the local guards within the main hub. So if ye want to level up yer engineering and mining in BfA, ye need to find the trainers for those professions in Boralus.
Is Bolarus the main hub? So I benefit the most from the Azeroth expansion when it comes to professions? Thus replacing my default and removing Draenor mining?
You don’t need to remove mining, just makes sure you have learnt the latest BfA version at the trainer
Aye, Boralus is the main hub for the BfA expansion and its professions. And ye don’t have to unlearn any skills from the previous expansions. Just talk to the trainer in Boralus to learn the profession for the BfA expansion.
Each expansion is independent, and ye learn the professions for each expansion separately, with different trainers based on the expansion. They don’t have any connection to each other whatsoever.

As you level the mining you will get drops that will allow you to do quests to gain levels, I think the 1st one comes at level 50 or 75.
Aren’t those quests for improving your skill in mining a particular type of node or seam ?. You go from 1 star, to 2 stars and then 3 stars.
The actual levelling is done by just mining and not by doing those quests.
each expansion works separately …draenor mining is useless(garrison mine) …if u want to level mining do the classic/cataclysm ones ;p lots of $
