My character has unlocked mining whilst flying in the Dragonflight tree. I have found in The War Within she is still able to do this, despite not having even unlocked the specialisations in TWW mining.
I am wondering if this is working as intended or a bug, as I do not want to exploit anything.
Edit: It seems that I am dismounted if I land on the ground to mine but otherwise I can mine whilst flying! This is with static flying.
Hello. It could be a bug as I have had the same issue (mining while mounted) on several of my characters while mining even in classic zones.
The specs do seem to specify the expansion for the mounted use, so I can only pressume it is a bug then. An awesome bug, but a bug nonetheless. I suppose I will make sure to put my points into it regardless and report it as such. Thanks for your reply!

Just fount this thread, I have the same thing:
I can mine while flying, but if I land, it dismounts me when I try to mine.
As long as I stay static and flying, I can mine.
Is it a intended feature or a bug?
