I took a break from wow for over a month and now i just got my paladin lvl 80. I tried 2 times lfr and i miss the open world bosses already to gearing up my new characters. I just had a plan to try thinking more positive to get better mental health and happyness. But doing content with others is bad. I had a nice roll on a neck and after some minutes some person rolled higher. I really had to keep myself calm instead of insulting him. This rolls are pure anger for me. I think i just ignore end game content because not ny thing. Already imagining losing the extreme low mount drop from lfr.
There is no point losing your temper because of the roll of a dice. Expect to win nothing and then anything you get is an added bonus.
If you are looking for solo ways to get gear I would suggest you do Delves, and visit the Sirenâs Isle.
Also crafting orders to fill gaps.
Dont really need to do LFR for gear unless you want some specific trinkets. You can get all gear from the Siren Isles really fast by just doing dailies, you get enough currency for all slots pretty fast. Then you just go convert them at the catalyst based on what you need most.
The mount is personal loot. Just donât look at the raid chat so ignorance is bliss.
If your first instinct was to insult someone just because they rolled higher number than you then something is wrong with you. After the rolls were closed did you check the person who won the item? Did they really need it? If not, did you try to ask them if they need it or if they can trade?
Then just donât do it. I personally geared myself only through crafting orders and doing delves or any open world content.
If you donât like the idea your average item level will be lower than ilvl of those doing group content then maybe try joing some guild and find some good party where you can trade things you want and might be of use for you.
I heard delves requites skills. And need lvl 8 or higher for decent loot. Also i need a key to open the chest at the end. I tried delves with my unholy dk 6 weeks after tww release and its too hard. I am not a raider or someone who likes a challange. Real life is a challange already sometimes. Gaming has to be relax and easy loot. And true i can use the vault also. That was my main source for gear. When i switched dk too blood the delbes got more easy but that was lvl 5. Never went back for higher.
I havent tried sirens landing because its new and i just played a week now. But ty i will try that.
Ty for saying the mount is personal loot. Now i will kill the boss more times on different characters.
And yes i inspected the player and he had ilvl 587 neck. And about my first thought is insulting. Thats because he stole my win with rolling late. I can be toxic. But thats what games made me. I have had so many bad games in years that made me angry about things. I am just trying to be the old happy person i was before. Irl its going well. Ingame its a bit worse. And i dont want to be in a guild. I dont need them.
They start at Tier 1 and you can work up through them. You only need 8s for vault for highest reward. Find your comfort level and gear up.
Sirenâs Isle has a vendor sells gear for the island currency.
Skill required varies from class to class (as ret its a flat out joke). Gear caps at +8 (maps for 610 ilvl drops included). Keys can be bought on your main for the azerite shards (forgot the name) as well as 4 from the faction weeklies (think the weekly quests in dornogal also give them, cant remember).
And? Any kind of content require some amount of skill.
If you just hit level 80 you donât need to do lvl 8 delves. Why even? You said âgame should be funâ ⌠then donât focus on higher tiers. If you want to have fun, just gear slowly, tier by tier, collecting gear. Itâs more than enough to have decent gear to survive in open world since your focus is not raiding or any group content.
The entire game should be a progress. No one should expect to be geared to max item level on day 1. You progressing through leveling, exploring, gearing. Even by doing low level delves you will get some reward in your weekly vault.
Just keep going, the item level will slowly raise and you will feel stronger and stronger by time.
Having nice gear is nice. But i only doing old content. Icc 25 hc. And something more. I am now focussing on 4 mounts i want.
If you want to be a casual then go obtain gear the casual way, from weekly quests and open world catchup (that would be Sirenâs Isle). This season isnât a good example as I got beefed up by the anniversary raid but some seasons my gearing is mainly TW weekly chests and the likes, and I can be barely at or above LFR ilvl.
Meh they got boring after a few weeks. I only done them for the seals to buy time walking badges.
They have self control unlike u .
Go to the new isle and gear there and turn it all into tier easy.
One simple step to much better health in general - Give up caring about gear.
Just do the content you enjoy doing. As you donât do grouped content (also good for your health) then you donât really need gear that much.
Quit online gaming and stick strictly to singleplayer.
No, the games didnât make you toxic. You just try to justify your lack of temper on it.
I did enjoy having the opportunity to earn some old transmogs again, but Iâm sure weâll see more of them in the future.
Adding to my earlier post. I hit lvl80 on my shammie with this weeks TW. Today I popped over to Sirens Isle and maxed her circes signet. While doing that I had several large gear upgrades. Once I had finished with the ring I went to the vendor on the isle and upgraded everything else. Then I went back to Dornagol, used the catalyst to get my tier bonus.
Finally, I did enough content to get 4 keys and did todays bountiful delves at tier 8. My gear was around 590 at the start. I died a few times from forgetting I was on a lower geared toon, but it was reasonably easy. Set Brann as a healer and kite/interrupt etc as needed. I hope tgat helps a bit.
There are lots of ways to gear up a character which does not involve competition. Quests, delves, world quests, PvP, crafting. The game is huge.
