Sounds like you might have been compromised? When people get compromised sometimes they make new characters on your account to spam trade chats etc and scam more people. I would secure your account. In the security section of your battle.net account you can see login information. It’s not perfect but can give you an idea.
If it’s not the above are you sure you’ve logged into the correct account/region? (this happens more than you would think)
