Last expansion with Shadowlands, there was a problem with FoS achievement for Shadowlands Collectors Edition physical box version - which is unfortunately still not fixed till this day https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/000270560
And after just claiming the game code from Dragonflight Collectors Edition (physical box version), there is no any FoS achievement at all this time?
Last time with Shadowlands, the CE game code after claiming at least gave wrong FoS achievement named “Heroic Edition” and not the right, “Collectors Edition” one, but this time the Dragonflight CE is not really giving a single one achievement? Just why… dont tell me it is intended so
One of the points, why I have collected every WoW CE is also because it was intended to give you FoS achievements aswell…
Shadowlands Collectors Edition did not give a “Collectors” FoS achievement either because there exists none. The Heroic Edition was given because (obviously) Collectors edition includes the heroic edition.
Dragonflight does NOT have a Collector’s achievement either.
I think this is intentionally because there are no Collector Edition exclusive ingame items either, similar like the SL version. DF does not have a “Heroic Edition” achievement therefor you didn’t receive such achievement.
BFA and before, there were exlusive items combined with a title.
Similarly SL had an Heroic achievement because they wyrm mount thingy came with it.
Registering the physical CE code in your account however does display that the website knows you’re unlocking a Collector’s Edition code, not a Heroic Edition code.
So they know, they just don’t care about giving out an achievement / FoS to the people who pay extra anymore.
Thats not true, if you take a look to the past, all previous WoW CE had FoS achievements whether it was for pets or mounts. And if you click on the link above, they literally write there they know it is not working as intended (the FoS achievements for Shadowlands CE), I personally made several tickets/bug reports back then about this problem, but even after 2+ years they did not fixed it, which is just shameful.
And as Semmelmonarc mentioned, when you register Dragonflight CE game code to your account, it literally says that you are claiming code for Dragonflight Collectors Edition and not any standard/digital edition, so they know the code is from physical box version, but they apparently didnt care (dont know why) about adding traditional FoS achievement which we were used to for the last 8 expansions… this is just a big downgrade for all collectors of physical WoW CE boxes, because I believe, for many of us, the FoS achievement was also one of the reasons why we were buying the CE box…
Lol dude I think you probably dont understand - Collectors Edition physical box version LITERALLY GIVES YOU also ingame exclusive items → mount, 2 pets, transmog gear, character boost and 30 days game time…
That is not CE exclusive.
That is simply the Epic edition, as it also states on the Battlenet store.
CE gives you a collectors box with certain IRL items + Dragonflight Epic Edition.
The only exclusive items with the Collector’s Edition is the box and the items inside off it.
Well it kinda is, because its included with the CE box, and as mentioned above, they recognize the game code is from Dragonflight CE (and not the standard/digital one), so it should give you the FoS achievement, like previous WoW CE
Currently there is no achievement for the Heroic, Epic or Collector’s Editions of Dragonflight, which is why none triggered when you claimed that code and logged into the game to receive your ingame rewards.
That isn’t unusual though, in the past those kind of Feat of Strength achievements have been added in closer to the release, or at release of the expansion itself rather than as part of early Pre-Patch.
The WoW Team is aware though, I can’t imagine it being too long before there’s something added in for Dragonflight same as for our past Expansions

I can vaguely remember that the CE FoS’s were moved to the ownership of the mount and pet of the H/E/CE instead of only owning the physical CE instead.
Just a update - well I just received FoS achievement yesterday for DF mount, but again as with Shadowlands, its wrong “Heroic Edition” one, not the right Collectors Edition one… As before, it has been stated by devs itself that “Heroic Edition” FoS achievement is not working as intended for those who bought Collectors Edition physical box version (as in link above), and even (as said above) with claiming the game code from DF CE physical box version it literally says its the Collectors Edition game code (not any normal/standard one) and we still get some “Heroic Edition” achievement.
By logical thought I personally think its just wrong and its not supposed to be like this or otherwise I just dont understand it. Can there be some blue post please, confirming if it is REALLY meant to be like this, that people with DF CE game code (RECOGNIZED by game itself its the CE one) are indeed supposed to get “Heroic Edition” FoS achievement and not the traditional “Collectors Edition” one, on which we were used to every previous expansion since vanilla?
