Dear Blizzard, I’m writing to you for something that might seem a bit inconsequential, but to me it is of vital importance. I logged onto my warlock Mischeavous today after she has had a long vacation from the stresses of Azeroth adventures. I was excited to once again say hello to my dear old friend, only to be greeted by a stranger at my side…
My beloved friend and Felguard Kiz’garath has been replaced by some foul fiend by the name of “Zilikkorak”. I do not know if this is a simple mistake or some insidious plot against me, but I beg of thee, I plead on my very knees, give me back my friend. He is become part of the family, and he is dearly loved by me and my friends. He has been with me through so much, we have shared countless joys and tears and he has saved my skin more than I’d like to admit.
I will do anything you ask of me. Help me this once, and I will tell the world of your noble deeds.

As a long term friend of Kiz’garath and his deeply respected master, world-class warlock Mischeavous of whom I have a long history dating back to before the dragons returned to the isles, I can confirm this has deeply affected us all and we are wishing on his safe return.
Please puppeteer’s of Azeroth, rescue him.

So the fix is to learn and switch back to the glyph which originally had the demon name.
In addition to that you can talk to the original warlock demon trainers to get a new random name for your current active demon. It is located Stormwind Mage Quarter, in the basement of the Slaughtered Lamb inn. For Horde I believe it is somewhere in the Cleft, though I am not 100% sure.
Note that the names are random and there is no way to save or restore previous names.

To hear the passing of Kiz’garath has left me totally bereft. After several expansions of a sordid affair, him and I eloped in Light’s Hope Chapel and since, we have lived many happy expansions together frolicking in the sunshine of Stranglethorn, waving our knickers in the air. The thought of continuing my azeroth adventures without him is beyond comprehension. To the powers that be; I beg of you, please return Kiz’garath my lover, to me and my friends.
