I have run into some very weird problem and I dont know what else I can do so I decided to post here for help.
I am heavily invested into gold making during this patch and since the begining of the reset I’ve been farming and buying from the AH as much as I can of the new Korthite Crystals (required for the new legendary rank crafting).
Then when I logged in yesterday, I noticed that all of my Korthite Crystals I had on my main character were gone from my bags. I had over over 344 crystals on this specific character and now they are all gone.
I have tried relogging, disabling all addons, I even tried to login and check from another device but nothing helps.
And this is not the first time it has happened. One day prior, the same thing happened on one of my other characters. Like 100 crystals went missing from my bags. Although I knew I had alot, initially I dismissed it and though that I might have transfered them to one my other characters or something. But then about 1 hour later, after loging back and forth between most of my alts, the crystals suddenly came back to my inventory.
When it happened again on my main character, I thought I was going through the same “bug” again and I was assured that they will appear back again after some time. But its been a full day already and my crystals are still gone.
I’m really loosing my mind over this. I invested alot of gold into those crystals and now I dont know what to do. Please help
Logically you would assume it should rule out UI issues, but it’s always worth trying because it’s the first thing a GM will ask so if you mention in your ticket that you’ve fully reset your ui, they may be able to go straight to looking at your characters and where the crystals went.
Yes, thanks for the suggestion. I tried resetting the UI (renamed the Cache, Interface and WTF folder) but unfortunately it didn’t change anything.
I submitted a ticket. I really hope they have a way to check this and confirm that my crystals are there somewhere on the server side and hopefully its only a client side issue.
The GM that took my ticket was able to confirm that he could see all the missing crystals on my character, which was a huge relief on my side, however they could not provide any solution or explanation on why I couldnt see them on my end.
Their suggestion was that it is an UI bug and told me to reset the UI interface which I already have multiple times to no success.
I left the ticket as unresolved and before I received any additional response, one day later, the crystals suddenly appeared again in my bags. I didn’t hear back from the GM regarding the issue so I’m not sure if they did anything on their end or it just resolved by itself. It could be some weird server-client synchronization bug or something that nobody can explain.
Yes, I know what resetting the UI means. I have removed all three folders Cache, WTF and Interface and loaded the game without any addons.
I even did this on two different machines multiple times over a period of 2-3 days (on my main PC and my laptop) so I can confirm 100% that it did not help with this specific issue.
Had the exact same thing happen to me today. Had 40 crystals in my bags , listed 3 times 5 to sell on the AH. When i logged back in my remaining crystals were nowhere to be found. Searched bags, Bank, alts, AH nothing. Even reseted my UI (wtf/interface/cache) but i didnt get my crystals back.
