Missing Master Loot option

Hello,
since the start of BFA prepatch, my Master Loot option in guild groups is missing! I´am sure it´s a bug since forced personal loot for guilds would be THE stupidest idea ever (like 5 IQ). I thought is was a bug! but after several months without fix I wanted to ask that. Thanks

It has been removed with the start BFA (intended by blizzard no bug).

Everything is personal loot now.

Solved.

I dont believe you. No developer can be stupid enough to think that forced Personal Loot is a good idea…

Sadly your belief has no relevance, Master Loot was indeed removed in BfA and many are not happy about it, but it is what it is I am afraid.

This ^^

I believe it’s around 1hr 5 mins in…

I don’t get this whole issue of Masterloot except the gains (and abuses) by guilds it has.

It is catastrophic for pugs. Even if we say Masterloot could only be available to guilds, it would still be open to abuse because every player should have a fair and equal chance of obtaining a piece of loot regardless of their performance (and it’s upto the guild to decide before recruiting someone to make that determination).

Masterloot enabled a lot of guilds to simply USE recruits until they had their original raid member back for whatever reason. It enabled them to bar them from loot because “you’re a trial” and what not.

I don’t even need to go through the issue of pugging and masterloot. Also for group content, it fully eradicates the ability for players to simply need an item when they don’t actually need it.

Sorry, but I’m thankful ML is gone.

Master Loot was taken out after 7.3.5. It is all personal loot for guilds now.

You do not have to believe it, but obviously the feature has been gone for months now, you even stated in your op you noticed it was gone.

i’ll never forget all the WOD pug leaders who allowed “tf/wf rolls” on the tier tokens
ML can burn in hell

even worst things happened in guilds, it different getting stabbed in the back by strangers than getting stabbed by your “mates”
flagged and out! bb

I may not raid hardcore, true, but even from an outside perspective people can voice their concerns about Masterlooting and let me tell you, we were heard and changes were made.

You can tell me I don’t raid hardcore and that’s true, I don’t deny it, heck I’m not even in a raiding guild but I am AWARE of people who are and faced the abuse I mentioned above.

I have a critical voice on the subject and I shall share it.

I do hate this myth that guilds somehow screwed over their raiders with ML. It was the best way to gear your team. Guilds that treated their raiders badly with ML didn’t retain their raiders for long.

I guess you have your degree in Wold of Warcrafting so we know your information is credible? If somebody is being abused, sure that can happen, they are free to leave the guild and join/start a new one. It´s called socal interactions - it´s after all MMO…

Actually yes, played for over half a decade, and was in full guild runs in Legion (friend’s mythic raiding guild to be fair). Pugged and got every curve in Legion as well, I am relaxing more in BfA how ever.

It’s still abuse that shouldn’t happen in the first place. It can totally ruin a player’s experience and view of the game.

But it’s not a myth if it happens and it does happen. There’s little consolation that the guild disbands months later, this doesn’t undo their feeling of getting screwed.

Yes and that’s what they do but they are also free to dislike ML, yet this is really triggering you for some reason.

Good ridance to master loot. No more guilds favoring their special friends.

Worse things happen at sea

Iam triggered because (obviously) the only thing mythic raiders want to do is ninja loot everything.
What kinda disappoints me is that everyone here who doent like master loot doesnt even raid properly. And yes if you like the idea of personal loot thats totally fine, i have no problem with personal loot either. But I do have a problem with forced personal loot in guild groups - it goes against everything that mythic guilds are all about - community and teamplay. I just dont like the idea that ppl who do not raid think that they know best. Great ammount of ppl decided to stop raiding over this change.

Its bad, but there is way around it. It just increases work for raid leaders.

My guild just trades all tradeable loot as if it was master looted.
