Since the last patch I have lost 49 mounts. Before the reset I had 1086. Today I have 1037. Last night I saw reports on the US forums so I made screenshots before the maintenance to have proof. I have no idea which ones I have lost because it’s impossible to track them all when I have so many.
Can you please explain what is happening. Every patch is a horror. Why can’t we just enjoy a patch day?
Is there a common theme to it, outside of TCG category, perhaps rewards from “equivalent” reputations (those that would swap into something specific if you faction changed)?
I was dreading this since last night after seeing Americans talking about it, but it appears I may have dodged it.
other than missing , maybe it just don’t count the new color variations (from WW forward)
Ultimutt: do you have all Remix mounts? some of those did have like 4 colors and stuff
I did check it, and it looks like I don’t miss any special mounts from before
I mentioned earlier that I am not missing any mounts and my total number is the same or near identical as last night (+/- 1 or 2 depending on class or faction, as expected). Remix mounts are there (none are greyed out at least).
I found the answer after carefully checking every single mount from each of my characters. I went into wowhead and left a older version from a week ago on my main character on a separate tab. I updated my character on wowhead. I carefully compared both tabs on my browser and can confirm I’m missing the OPPOSITE faction’s mounts. This is technically normal however, it still shows some of the opposite factions mounts. I go onto the alliance side, they are missing the same number of mounts and the same opposite faction’s mounts.
Is this a bug? Who knows because that’s debatable.
EDIT: You DID NOT lose any mounts from your possession.
so… it was a bug and before it was counting mounts you could not use ?
other thing could be some bug with the Legion+BFA reputation , like the mounts where you need exalted to buy don’t count
Furydin and other users would need to double check wowhead because if the mount shows up on wowhead and not in-game then the game is missing the mount ID’s which would be a simple fix from blizzard. If they are missing on both in-game and wowhead then they lost their mounts in their possession. That said, I personally have over 700 mounts and can only confirm what I have on my end per my post above.
I can confirm that our developers are currently investigating this issue, which appears to affect the display of faction-locked mounts (these will not appear in your Collection, instead of appearing as unusable/locked).
Bug fixes are often posted in our Hotfixes and Updates blogs, in the News section of the site. If you encounter another bug in-game, please report it to them, and they will be able to review it for you.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!
