I just completed the quest “Upgraded” for the Mechagon intro but the NPC to turn the quest in is missing???
There are many quests at that quest-hub that are only available on specific days, however that Quest is not one of those.
She should be available there pretty much all the time. Some ideas on what may be wrong, if you haven’t solved it yet:

Perhaps one of the daily quests that’s available, or that you have in your quest log, is phasing that particular corner in town. One quest that involves building a gun takes place right in front of her for one (i’m not sure what the name of that quest is). Either abandoning such a quest, or otherwise completing it, should solve that problem.

Perhaps you were in the Alternate timeline for Mechagon ? This is essentially a phased copy of the zone that one enters by talking to Chromie (NPC) or using a [Personal Time Displacer] item. Returning to the original zone can be done by either talking to Chromie or rightclicking the related Buff (on yourself). The quest [The Other Place] is related to this.

Perhaps you (accidentally) flew into the Dungeon. The entrance for Operation Mechagon is right in the middle of town. It is easy to run/fly into by accident, and if you do, you’ll end up in exactly the same looking town, except with most of the NPC’s missing.

If you’re playing with Warmode enabled, perhaps another player had violated the sanctuary and attacked another player while in town. When this happens many mobs turn hostile and counter-attack the player, i’m not certain if your Quest NPC is one of them, but it’s possible she got killed and/or kited away in such an event.

Thnx for the help… as for the points you mentioned I’m guessing it was the phasing. It’s resolved now
