I ve recently changed my password ( it was recommended ) and when I came back to forums, I do not have any of my retail characters here. I simply cant pick one to reply here, because they are simply missing. It is not a big deal, but I had there one , forum , toon I ve been gathering replies for ages 
I can pick only my classic chars.

@Upgrayedd: This is not 100% fix, but you might want to try logging out of both the forum and the launcher and logging back in. It MIGHT enable you to choose other characters.
It happened after relogging on both ( thanks to password change ). I ll give it a try when I am back from work. Thanks for a quick response.

There’s a decent chance you lost your character to post with as with many others - myself included - about…2-3 months ago when characters seemed to be purged from the forums for a totally unknown reason.
I was abruptly logged out while on these forums. When I logged in again the character I was posting with for a long time was just gone, not there to select. I seen some others mention the same thing. What was the Blizzard response ingame? Usual troubleshooting stuff that doesn’t work. What was the customer support forum response? Prepare yourself for this one…no one knows, not Blizzard themselves or their support staff.
I’d prepare to accept that your selectable character has just disappeared into the ether forever.

You could clear your cookies as well, it may help. Also shut down your browser after you log out, maybe even restart the machine.
It happened to me last week and a few logouts and cookie deletion fixed it.
Play little time on missing charater to be sure he updates. Log out of and close everything. Close PC. count slowly to 100. Turn back on. Cross fingers and hope.
PS. I also have missed all mine.
When was the last time you played your retail characters? I know i can not post with my retail chars as i havent played them since Legion.
Your forum character disappears if they haven’t been active for a while
