Missing talent points

I can’t even reach the last talent in the assassination tree on my rogue that I just got to lvl 60 with. I am definitely missing talent points on this character. What is going on here?? I don’t even know where to look for an answer to this absurd situation except here.

I’m thinking that might be because the tree is ready for the full release of DF, where there will be more levels.

Dude, I have the last talent on my paladin and even have points to spare. Besides, I am currently in a bg and there was a rogue who had exactly the talent I wanted to take at the end.

So do I on my hunter, but I guess there might just be more good talents further up on your tree than mine maybe…? :man_shrugging:

What talent you mean?

After in depth research (googling 4 words) I came up with this.

It seems you can reach the last talents. You just can’t be like a dude with no impulse control at the all you can eat buffet when it comes to taking stuff further up the tree.

What’s going on here is that you aren’t willing to make compromises. At level 60 you will often a hard time trying to both reach a bottom talent and at the same time branch out to other desirable talents not in your straight way down.

Do you mean that there’s actually hard choices to make with the Rogue talent tree?

You’re not level 70 yet. That’s what.

No, it is not about having to make hard choices.

And no, it is also not about me not being lvl70 - nobody is as Dragonflight has not come out. However, again, my paladin is the same lvl and has enough talent points to reach the end and even pick more talents.

I’m going to take screenshots since people apparently cannot understand that missing talent points actually means missing talent points and no matter how I move them around, 5 points in tier 3 never let me reach the bottom

No, not you.

Wowhead and icy veins yes.

So the only issue is the middle talents?
you can still reach the bottom talents on the other branches

same with my Frost death knights cannot use both of Frostwyrm´s fury and Breath of Sindragosa, they may be usable at the same time in lvl 70

You don’t have anything missing, you just haven’t streamlined down to the bottom talent and -then- picked other talents. The problem is of course, the class has its hands tied if you go for that approach.

See their approach for yourself

Dragon-Tempered Blades is unavailable currently, you need to be 61 to get it at the earliest.
Has nothing to do with streamlining.

Not sure how someone could have it in a BG, would have to be an exploit to get more talent points.

Dragon-Tempered Blades is indeed unavailable at level 60. When thinking about it, I have not encountered any other specs where a bottom talent is plain unavailable, even after making branching compromises.

guess it makes sense for the blades to unlock in the Dragon isles

some talents require 2 points before you can extend further down the tree. If you take one point out it resets any talents in that path. This may be why you feel you cant reach the talent you want.

You not missing talent points but when DF launches and you level to 70 more points will become available to you.

I think it would be more accurate to say that not all spec/class trees are equal. I struggled with BM hunter as well.
