So in PvP monk’s main thing is being mana efficient, There’s two choices on talents:
Mana Tea (50% cost for 10s every 1.5m)
Lifecycles (25% reduced cost for vivify and enveloping mists when having cast the other previously)
On top of that, the legendary rewards building up stacks of clouded focus, increasing healing and reducing mana costs.
So yes, MW can be very efficient, but the real way to counter that is by disrupting them, stopping them turret healing. If you leave them to sit on the other side of the map healing freely it’s likely you’ll lose on mana.
The other thing to say about all of this is, MW is very susceptible to being focused. Once they have used cocoon, swapping onto them is very punishing. So while you might be frustrated about the mana efficiency of MW, really the problem is you need to create more pressure windows where the monk isn’t able to maximise these efficiencies.
