Hello to everyone reading this and especially,
dear Blizzard,
I would like to share a common opinion on Mists of Pandaria Challenge Mode Armor sets.
Someone, playing multiclass over the last years and switched main sometimes, I’ve earned Mists of Pandaria Challenge Mode Armor sets on 3 different characters. It was, at some point, a cake walk to be fair, since you had so many sockets on your gear.
It wasn’t a real accomplishment.
However, back then - I wasn’t able to play too much and haven’t earned it on all characters (a lot of us didn’t unlock it on all characters)
Maining Mage for a long time now, I would like to maybe have an option for us:
How about you can buy 1 Token with the character you earned Challenge Mode on and learn the set on another Character?
I would actually unlearn all the Challenge Mode appearances on my Shaman, Warlock and Warrior just to transfer it over to my Mage main. (I’m a collector type of guy)
I think, because of the fact that you made it so gladiator mounts are usable on all characters, that would be fair.
Imagine someone earning Gladiator 3 times on a Warrior now running around with his Gladiator Mount on his Warlock alt.
He didn’t earn it on the Warlock however he can still use it on his alt.
I would really appreciate you doing something with the Challenge Mode Armor sets.
It would make some of us really happy.
Those who think Challenge Mode Armor sets should be exclusive to the character that has earned it : Do you really think it was an accomplishment back then? With all the boosts for gold and sockets going on?
You could literally 4-man it and the 5th could be afk.
I would appreciate you not flaming around and obviously hope for a Blue Post,
But sadly, I recall blizzard saying in the past that it wouldn’t happen. Same goes for the Mage tower appearances (one thing I regret was not doing the feral challenge) and the WoD challenge mode weapon skins.
I do remember challenge modes actually being… well… challenging and boosts being FAR less of an issue than they are now, that’s for sure. Boosting was of course still a thing, but it was not advertised on such a large scale as it is now.
Well, to be fair, boosting was a big thing in MOP. I can recall a lot of advertisments (most of them for gold).
Obviously, earning the full set close after MOP launch was an accomplishment but as time passed and new raids were released (looking at you, SOA) you had so many sockets on your gear thus making it easy.
Hold on, they allowed the Warlords of Draenor Challenge Mode: Gold skins to be usable across characters on an account that completed the content. Why have they not done that with MoP!?
Most of the stuff is account-wide these days. Even hard to get gladiator titles and mounts.
Let’s be honest here, earning 9/9 CM MOP gold was way easier than earning gladiator title + mount.
People, that did 9/9 gold back in MOP should be able to buy a token to unlock transmogs for other classes for let’s say 100k gold.
They made such a token for WoD CM gold weapon transmogs why MOP transmog should be any different?
In case people forgot, during WoD prepatch you were mailed all 4 MOP CM mounts on every character, that did MOP CM’s.
I don’t know what they are afraid of. It’s not like everyone and their mother will have those transmogs. Only people, that did 9/9 gold during MOP.
And it’s most likely minority of players.
Every single player, that did 9/9 cm gold in MoP should bring this topic up until they cave in. Remeber “you think you do but you don’t?” in case of classic? Same will happen with this, if you won’t give up until they give us our transmogs.
As someone who doesn’t have the armor. When I see someone with it, I immediately look up what it is and where it’s from. I want it! Then I see it’s not available to obtain anymore… but hey, that’s okay. Those people put the hours in at that time to get that time-locked set. Fair play to them, but I wish they’d do it more often for PVE.
