The treasure’s that can be found all across pandaria barely gives any experience. I dont think its intentional that looting one doesnt even give a half bar of exp.

I can’t remember off the top of my head but I got around 140k ish per treasure at the right level to go through Pandaria.
No. You can go to pandaria at level 10 on the ptr. i tried looting some of the treasures in the jade forest and both times i got less than a half of a exp bar doing so
on live servers u get a very decent amount so i guess theres something wrong.

The new leveling is designed to be campaign driven. They want you to do the story of each of the relevant zones so you hit 50 around the time you’re done with it.
Same with WoD that they’re nerfing the bonus objectives, etc.

The treasures used to be items that you would pick up for gold. 100 gold was equal to what 2000 gold is now.
