Mistweaver: it feels clunkier than ever

Terrible changes are nothing new to Mistweaver.
They lost Chi, the old Mana Tea, their melee interrupt and finisher, nimble brew, mistwalk…The list goes on.

Losing tools and utility is one thing.
But in BFA, the GCD added on Soothing mist completely ruined the flow of the spec. You can no longer instantly channel through your healing beam - you have to wait for the GCD to be over, and it feels incredibly wrong.

Anyone who’s played Mistweaver prior to BFA will agree. This has to be reverted.

Nothing will change in BfA and maybe something will change for 9.0. GCD and alike likely will stay as it’s their praised change so they just can’t revert (or not without breaking something else)

It’s trash though.

As many many many things…

Doesn’t matter with the GCD. Monks got a huge buff in this patch. Go have a great time.

I see someone fails to understand that we’re talking fun here, and not performance.

That’s not what the OP is talking about. He’s talking about the feel of the spec. It used to feel fluid, now it feels fat and clunky with big GCDs.

It does get better if you stack haste though.

Fun? Wow is a work and performance based game

I remember days when WoW was fun and classes were unique and also fun.-

Yeah, the feeling of a game is important. Back in the days it felt good. I just don’t think it will happen. This game is performance based.

Just like the Pandas who invented it.

I have nothing helpful to add to this conversation.

Hm, monk with conflict is one of the more fun healer specs, right after druid, imo.
Especially with the more or less not really existent GCD durig soothing mist

I can only assume you’ve discovered the spec in BFA and never got to enjoy it in its previous state.

It is noticeably worse, and the GCD is very much existent.
