Thanks for the compensation buffs, all of the buffs outweigh UV nerf by quite a bit.

In fact, AiS buff in PvP is a tad bit overboard, some high ranking hunters expect a nerf to Careful Aim. Would not want to play mage vs a hunter.

Nice to see Chim shot getting a huge buff and would love to pick it, it will help a lot against platers.

Overall, nice changes.

Actually surprised they will give all 3 hunter specs +5% dmg. For mm that might be good but both bm and survival actually are in the upper half of classes in st.

If we look at st fights or look at overall dmg through the raid and only look at boss dmg survival and bm actually looks decent/strong.

i would personally rather have had some aoe centered buffs and maybe buff some weak/unused talents rather than a flat 5% buff.

Yes i know weird to “complain” about a buff but it feels like it won’t solve either specs relatively bad aoe and make their allready good single target better.

It just shows that we have no Dev working on hunters tbh.

BM has been sub par since the start of SL and we’ve had very small insignificant tweeks to our AOE since then with no real fix.

So to throw out a blanket 5% is crazy, it’s throwing a bone in the hopes to get people to shut up

I would like to see more fundamental changes to Marksmanship than a simple damage boost. Maybe that comes later down the road. One can only hope.

But since a damage boost is all we get right now, I’m not sure we should be swinging the pendulum in the other direction and say this is too much. Maybe there are high-ranking hunters who can see issues of some kind, but tuning for the top 1% always felt really stupid to me. Damage is often Marksmanship’s only defense. All you can really do is to dump so much damage into the opponent that they snap out of their tunnel vision and turn tail. :stuck_out_tongue: If you get targetted in melee there is precious little you can do. Maybe there are casters who will hate Marksmanship after these buffs, but Marksmanship faces a similar problem against lots of other classes. We’re back to rocks, paper, scissors, aren’t we?

A damage increase isn’t a very elegant solution. But apparently it’s all we get right now. Marksmanship requires an actual overhaul from the ground up to resolve these issues in the long run. Until such a time, though, offense is our best defense and I’m going to take every % I can get.

Then tell me You think multishot and barrage are great aoe ?

Who takes barrage?

For mm you multi (on 3 targets or above) or volley to proc trick shots. That makes your aimed shot and rapid fire ricochet to other targets.which is where alot of your aoe dps comes from.

Add into that explosive shot, volley, salvo, death chakram etc.

If you’re using only barrage and multi shot for you’re aoe you’re failing hard and trolling your team so much

I did some BGs on my MM Hunter, and things were not as bad as expected after the nerfs. The spec is a glass cannon (but that isn’t new) and falls before the usual skill melee culprits, but if left alone the pressure it is able to put out is not bad.

Don’t know how MM does in Arena or PvE.

BGs is really the only environment where MM is still tolerable and doing somewhat decently. You are often able to stay at range and dish out damage. In Arenas it’s very, very different. Forget about Solo Shuffle because as soon as you break Camouflage you just get targetted non-stop by mongoloid melees and completely shut down. Double Tap was a key ability in applying pressure and setting up a kill.

trickshots is good aoe…so are explosive shot and salvo

Developers’ notes: With the removal of Double Tap, Marksmanship Hunter damage has been lower than we would like to see, so we are increasing several main rotation abilities while decreasing Unerring Vision, with the goal of higher sustained damage.

You dont say?? everyone was saying this when it was first announced lol!

thank you, I play right now, do I miss double tap 250K damage? yes, but I am happy with those changes and I can play decently. I haven’t tried arena yet, Im playing bg but I am on top with good damage, I am happy!
